3 Years

Today is our 3 year anniversary!

Boy, have we been through a lot in 3 years!

2 babies, 1 dog, and one big move across 2 states. Our life right now may be a little crazy, but I honestly would not want to share it with anyone else in the world. He is my rock, my best friend and my sole mate.

He is also not one for mushy, public displays of affection so I'll keep it short and sweet... ;)

Here's a few of my favorite wedding photos:

Happy Anniversary to my love!

We are celebrating this weekend with a little 'stay-cation' in downtown Chicago for a night! Aka, my first night away from my baby... Wish us luck! :) :)

Our Weekend + Family Photo Sneak Peek

We had a pretty low key weekend which was just what the doctor ordered. The boys have both been sick with a nasty cough/cold (seriously, this cold season can be over now) that has been keeping everyone up at night. Luckily, no one has had a fever so far so I'm hoping it won't escalate to anything worse.

We had our family photo session with the wonderful Lindsay of (www.chicagolandphotographybylindsay.com). The weather could not have been more perfect and with the fall foliage in the background made for some awesome photos! She sent us a few sneak peek photos which makes me so excited to see the rest! I just love the candid shots of the boys! I'm hoping to have family photos taken every year around this time. It will be fun to compare photos from years past. We took family photos last year around this time when Camden was just 10/11 months old. It's crazy to see how much he's grown!

These photos came at such a great time. When I'm awoken at 4:30 am with a coughing babe (even earlier now, thanks daylight savings!) and I feel like I'm never going to get a full night's sleep ever again... I look at these photos and realize that everything is a phase and I need to relish in these moments when they are so little. I just love our little family so much!

Besides taking it easy, we also (when I say we, I mean Bill) put together our new bed/headboard. It was an early anniversary present to both of us. I'm also on the hunt for new bedding and throw pillows. I will share the finished product when it's all put together!

We also took a family trip to the park to enjoy this weather while it lasts and enjoyed a family dinner outing at Panera (currently craving all the autumn squash soup!).

I hope you all got an extra hour of sleep this weekend! Of course, if you are a parent that's not always the case... Why don't these kids get it?!!

Halloween Weekend + an OOTD

Oh, Hi! Sorry for the radio silence over here the past week! Bill has been out of town for work since Sunday morning, but luckily my parents came to visit this past weekend and stayed until Tuesday morning to help out with the boys. Bennett has come down with a nasty cold and has been waking up coughing and all stuffy at night, so this mombie has been super tired...

We had such a fun Halloween weekend with the boys! Bill was really sad that he was going to miss trick or treat night with them, but I'm glad my parents were here for Halloween. How cute are my little monkeys?!

This was the best photo I could get of the both of them. Camden almost refused to wear his, but we told him he would get candy if he kept it on. Bennett, on the other hand, was not too pleased with his costume and threw a fit about 5 minutes after we put it on. Oh well... Next year will be fun! At least I was able to snap a really cute picture of them!

Camden really got into trick or treating! We just took him around our court and we took him up to each door and told him to say 'trick or treat' to get some candy. He would say 'tick o teeeeet!' when our neighbors opened their doors, it was the cutest thing!

Of course, we had to confiscate his candy... We did let him have a sucker and some fruit snacks though for all his hard work. ;)

I represented all my Mombies out there... Messy hair, eye bags and all! All that's missing is a Starbucks in my hand!

And just for fun, here's an OOTD which has been on heavy rotation for me lately:

I love this outfit for fall because it's been chilly in the mornings and warms up in the afternoon, so I can just peel off the layers.

How was your Halloween weekend?
Are you ready for Christmas season?!!! I am!!!
