Wedding Wednesday // The First Look

Wedding Wednesday is back in action! 

This week I wanted to share photos from our first look. Bill and I decided to (well, had to) take photos before the ceremony since our ceremony started at 5:00 and reception followed immediately after. I was ok with doing a first look ahead of time. I liked the idea of Bill and I having our moment to ourselves before the ceremony and all eyes on us. 

After the make up was done, the hair was curled, the mimosas were sipped and the dress was on, it was time for me to see my groom!

It was a very windy day. My hair was a little tousled in the wind, but we made it work.

We both were a little teary and immediately embraced. 

I was so excited to see him on our wedding day!

After we had our moment, Bill gave me a spin. 

He seemed to be pretty impressed ;) 

I don't know why I love the above photo so much. I'm pretty sure we were just saying "OMG, we are getting married today!" or "Dang! We look GOOD!" Something along those lines I'm sure.

Meet Charlie!

This pup has brought us so much joy over the past few weeks! He has also brought a lot of sleepless nights... But, when you look at that cute little furry face it is all worth it!

Interview with Charlie:

Name: Charlie Rumple

Nicknames: Charles Barkley, Chuck, Chuckie, Charle D (dog)

Breed: Maltese Shih tzu mix 

Age: About 8 weeks

Weight: Almost 3 lbs and growing! I should only get to about 10 lbs.

Teeth: just starting to grow in... I love chewing everything!

Favorite Food: Whatever is in my food dish. Right now there are hard pebbles. Mommy used to feed me soft food mixed with it, but since I have teeth now I only eat the hard food. I love eating!

Favorite Past Time: I'm learning to play fetch and I'm getting pretty good. Chewing on everything before my mom and dad stop me. Biting on mom and dad's pant legs when they walk through the house. Napping.

Favorite Toy: It's a toss up between my monkey and my cow...

I'm baaaack!

I'm baaaaack! 

I'm feeling refreshed after my little blog hiatus. I must say, I did miss it. So much has happened over the last few months and I'm so excited to share some recent happenings with you guys.

If you follow me on instagram, you may already be caught up on everything!

Here are a few snapshots of what I've been up to:

1 // Got myself a new little Kate Spade crossbody for Vday and I'm obsessed! It's the perfect everyday size and the leather is super soft!

2 // Went on a work trip to CO and ended the week skiing with Bill. So fun!

3 // Made a new recipe: Cilantro Lime Shrimp Tacos. So yummy! Recipe on the blog soon!

4 // We got a new dining room table from Pottery Barn! Our dining room area has been empty for a while. I'm so excited to start the decorating process in this room. We recently purchased a new rug and curtains. Next up are chairs and hopefully hanging a pretty light fixture above. I will share the before and after photos when it's complete!

5 // Attended one of my very good friend's wedding here in Columbus. I was able to help set up the tables and they turned out so gorgeous!! 

6 // We got a PUPPY!! Meet Charlie! He is a Maltese Shih tzu mix and was 8 weeks old when we got him. He is a cute little fur ball, but boy do I feel like we have an infant! this guy needs constant attention and wakes up in the middle of the night to be let out. We are currently crate training him, so hopefully all the sleepless nights will pay off in the near future! More on this pup to come :)
