Friday Favorites

Here are a few of my favorite things from this week:

I have been on a Rosé kick for a few weeks and this Charles & Charles bottle is my current fave. Not too bad on the wallet either (retails for about $13 per bottle)!

I received these booties from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in the mail today and I love them! They are a bit snug so I may try to return them for a larger size this weekend at Nord's (size at least a 1/2 size up if you are planning to order these!). I also ordered this Lush shift dress, but it is not set to arrive until mid August... whomp whomp...

I have been craving s'mores for some odd reason this week. I've been making them in the microwave just about every night (no, I'm not pregnant!). I just layer the gram, chocolate and marshmallow and nuke it for 10 secs. Then, smash the top with the second half of the gram. Comes out all gooey and delicious!

I am hosting a baby shower for a close friend this weekend and the theme is vintage story books. Remember all the Little Golden Books? I ordered a bunch of them from Amazon and I've been having fun reminiscing reading them from when I was little. I've got a very crafty friend that made all the decor for the shower and I'm pretty excited to see everything all set up! Follow me on IG or Snapchat (LindsayRumple) for some sneak peaks of the decor tomorrow!

Lastly, there are only 2 days left of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Make sure to take advantage of these prices now as they will go up on Monday! Here's a round up of some of my favorite sale items:

Thoughts for Thursday: Shopping for Baby Boy

I had planned on scheduling a professional family photo session around the time Cam was 6 months old. Fast forward to now (he's 8.5 months) and we've had to reschedule our family photos twice because of rain. Thanks Ohio weather! We have landed on a date for our rescheduled photo shoot for end of August and I figure, at this point maybe we should dress for fall.

Soooooo... Off I go on the hunt for baby boy fall clothes and I am finding the most adorable options! I gotta say, dressing a baby boy is actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be! I mean... that cable knit sweater and baby jeans? How scrumptious would he be in that ensemble?!

This doesn't mean, however, that I'm ready for hashtag Fall quite yet... Still holding on to this Summer weather a few more weeks!

Remembering Leslie

I found out some really sad news today. Leslie, the author of A Blonde Ambition, passed away this week. I remember finding her blog shortly after Cam was born and loving all her honest posts about being a mom. Her personality really shined through her writing. She seemed to be very bright and witty (with great fashion sense to boot).

She was the mother of two precious baby girls, Caroline (almost 2) and she had her second Ainsley just this past December. I remember reading posts like this one that made me think she is a champion for having 2 babes under 2! But also, that she has so much love for those girls and her family.

The news of her passing really hit me hard. I did not know her personally but, this blogging world really makes you feel like you know someone when you read their words and posts about their lives. I felt as though I connected with her just reading her blog. I wish I would have commented more or emailed her with words of encouragement when she wrote about her heart issues and stays in the hospital. I know there really isn't anything I could have done to help, but at least she would have known that I care.

Thinking of leaving this earth with a husband and 2 babies behind is heartbreaking. I am praying with everything I have for her family. Some other bloggers have shared her Go Fund Me page (to help raise money for the girls college fund) and I am as well, hoping that it helps just a little.

Hug your loved ones a little more tightly today, K? I know I plan to.

As Leslie would say, Be Blessed Lovelies.
