Friday Finds + Faves

Happy Friday, friends! Are you all ready for the long weekend? We don't have too much going on, but we do have a family wedding to attend tomorrow evening. We will be bringing along the kids again (Camden is the ring bearer!), so we will see how long they both last through the ceremony and reception! Although, the last wedding we took them to, they loved that dance floor! 😆 Also, very excited for college football to start tomorrow! We will be watching the first Bucks game at home while we get ready for the wedding, but we definitely will be cheering them on! 

Sorry this post is up later than expected! Life has just been super busy lately and I'm hoping to get on a better routine of posting soon! This week's post will have a lot to do with all of the amazing SALES that are happening this weekend! I will list a few of theme below, but check out my 'Current Sales' tab for more Labor Day sales as I will be adding them as I find them all weekend!

Now on to my Finds and Faves from this past week...

1. This cozy, oversized camo sweatshirt came in the mail earlier in the week and I'm in love! I am digging the lighter, more muted camo colors and the fact that it is over sized and works perfectly with leggings! Perfect for bumming around the house! BONUS - it just so happens to be on major sale for less than $27! 

2. These high waisted, olive green jeggings were the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe! The fit is perfect and they are really comfortable (run true to size). I love that I can mix them with so many different tops and layers! I love the mix of the olive green with this black and white striped top and my denim jacket. All fall staple pieces!

These jeggings are currently on sale for less than $38!

3. This graphic tee says it all... I love the easy outfit of a graphic tee with comfy jeans! Right now all graphic tees from this retailer are 50% off and most are under $10! Linked to a few of my favorites below!

5. Favoreats app - I just downloaded this app this week in hopes it will help me with my weekly meal planning and grocery shopping. Meggan from the Golden Style Book recommended it and I'm so glad she did! I have been feeling really burnt out with cooking and coming up with meal ideas, so this came at the perfect time! It actually will link to your Pinterest account so you can pull in recipes from there and you can also share recipes with friends that download the app too!

4. The first Game Day of the season is tomorrow! I'm super excited for football season to start! I feel like it is always the start of such a fun season of the year and ends with a slew of my favorite holidays!

Friday Finds + Faves

Happy Friday, friends! We made it through the week!

I want to start sharing these Friday Finds/Faves posts with you all again. I always feel like I have so much to share and then the week flies by! But, these Friday posts can be just a quick little round up of some things I have loved from the week and also a round up of the outfit posts from my instagram... So, let's get started!

1. Amazon Finds - I got $20 this tunic tee and this $10 blanket scarf on the mail earlier this week and I am loving the combo with leggings! The blanket scarf is actually a triangle shape, which I like so it's not so bulky when I wrap it around my neck. The tunic fits true to size and I'm wearing a small. It has a nice long length that is perfect to wear with leggings! Comes in a ton of colors!

2. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings - These were definitely a splurge and I actually ordered then right before the Nordstrom sale ended when they came back in stock in my size. They are back to full price now ($98), BUT I will say after receiving them and trying them on they are definitely worth the hype! They are true SPANX brand and really suck you in up top! And I love that you can dress them up or down. I'm planning to put together a blog post maybe next month with lots of different ways to style them. These run true to size and I'm wearing a size small. They are a little long for me, but I'm able to pull them up a bit so they don't bunch up too much at the bottom. (I'm also only 5'2" so everything is long on me!)

3. Target backpack: I ordered this backpack handbag after my girl Ja'Net (Running on Clean) raved about it on her instagram stories. I'm so happy I got this bag because it can fit all the things AND double as a diaper bag if needed. Also, it's less than $37!

4. Chilly Mornings: It has been chilly in the mornings this week and it really got me excited for fall weather! I actually wore a cardigan and jeans a few days this week! Of course, it's supposed to get back up in the 80s and possibly 90s next week, so enjoying it while it lasts!

Other random things I loved from this week...

5. Read Scripture app: I recently downloaded this app to help me with studying the bible. I've tried some other bible study apps and this one is my favorite because it actually has videos you watch before each chapter that gives a great visual of the stories. I'm such a visual learner and this has helped me understand the stories of the bible so much better than just reading it alone! Highly recommend!

6. Lindsey's 'LRT Fall' playlist on Spotify: This playlist is giving me all the 'sitting in a cozy coffee shop' vibes. I love this mix of music with all of my favorite bands/artists (think Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Vance Joy, etc). I've been listening to this mix in the morning while I work and sip on my coffee!

7. Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer (sugar free): Speaking of coffee... Call me #basic but, the combo of my freshly brewed coffee and this creamer in the morning just makes me happy!

8. One on One time: I've been loving our new schedule which allows me to have one on one time with my boys every Wednesday. I've been able to switch my work schedule around so that every Wednesday I'm home with one of my boys (the other one goes to my parent's house for the day). I've just been craving more one on one time with both of them, and my parents agreed to this set up so we made it happen! They are both at such fun ages that also require a lot of my undivided attention. Wether we spend the day out and about running around, meeting for a playdate or just hanging out at home, I just love being with them and having that quality time with them. This past Wednesday, I was home with Bennett and we had such a fun day! He was feeling a little under the weather (I think it's allergies!) so we just stayed home most of the day, but were able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather in the afternoon. His little smile and laugh just melts my mama heart!

Happy St. Patty's Day! 

This is about as green as I'm going to get today. I'll be spending the day at home with the boys while Bill is working. I might venture out in the cold to take them to the grocery store... or we may just hang out in our PJs all day... Because it still feels like WINTER! Ugh... I'm so over the cold! 

We might celebrate with some pizza and beer tonight. I know, we're crazy!

Here are 5 things I'm loving this week:

1. La Croix - Guys, I'm working on kicking the diet coke habit and I have to say... I'm a believer in La Croix! I thought I didn't really like it, but now I am constantly drinking the lime flavor all day err day. I don't hate it! 

2. Food Prep - I'm on a food prep kick this week. I made a big batch of eggs with onion, spinach and cheese on Monday and portioned it out into 4 servings so I could have some with my whole grain toast every morning. I also made a big batch of crock pot Mexican shredded chicken, cooked rice and sautéed onion, red and yellow peppers and portioned it out into 4 servings for dinners. This was a HUGE time saver for me, especially since Bill was out of town 2 nights this week. It was just so easy to throw the prepared serving in the microwave and eat while I was feeding the kids. I also made little snack packs for Camden of cut up strawberries and peeled apples. He was eating strawberries all week! I might do a post about my food prep and attempt to 'diet' in the near future... stay tuned!

 3. These plates and these bibs - Speaking of meal prep, I recently purchased some new plates for Camden and bibs for both of them. I am loving these plates from Target. They are 79 cents a piece, come in a lot of fun colors AND are dishwasher and microwave safe! I have also made the decision that I will only buy silicon bibs like these going forward. I hate cleaning cloth/plastic bibs after they eat and Bennett is one messy eater! These bibs are so much easier to clean!

4. New apps - I downloaded a slew of new apps this week that all revolve around productivity and family scheduling. I'm hoping to experiment with all of them and will share my favorites on a blog post soon! The few I've already been using are 30/30, Time Tree, Cozi and ATracker. If you have any suggestions on productivity or scheduling apps you love, please comment with them below!

5. Make Up Vloggers - Ok... I have a slight addiction to watching make up tutorials on youtube at night after everyone has gone to bed. I just fall right down that rabbit hole for like an hour before I realize it's past my bedtime! Some of my favorites are Mallory Ervin, Makeup by Tiffany D, Casey Holmes and Jesssouthern. Tell me I'm not the only one? Any make up vlogger channels you love and recommend?

Friday 5 (all on SALE!)

We made it to Friday! Hooray!

We are finally settling into our new little routine at my parents' house. Although this (not so) little dude has been teething so bad and waking up in the middle of the night whining in pain! One of his bottom teeth finally popped out, but he's still working on the one next to it. So, mommy has been drinking all the caffeine she can find...

Anyhoo, here are my top 5 favorite finds from this week, all of which are on sale!!

1. I found my black Nike 'Juvenate' sneakers on sale for less than $60 (also comes in great colors for spring)!

2. My favorite scoop neck long sleeve tee is on sale for $10.80 - 40% off

3. These tassel earrings are on sale for 50% off and are currently waiting to be purchased in my nordstrom shopping cart.

4. This anorak jacket is currently 40% off and is just like the one I have from Target that I've been wearing lately.

5. This grey version of my favorite faux leather tote is currently 33% off! Such a great everyday bag!

The boys have been enjoying the warmer weather this week and actually got to play outside! Camden has been saying almost everyday 'I wanna go oussssiiiide!' in the cutest voice! He just loves it and it makes me so excited for spring time!

Unfortunately, I think it's supposed to get cold again this weekend. So, we've made plans to visit COSI (Columbus kids science museum) and have a few play dates scheduled with some friends I haven't seen in a while. So happy to be back in our home town with family and friends!

I'm back again with another edition of Friday 5! 

Here are the top 5 things I'm loving from this week:

1. This Nike sweatshirt. You guys... It's the best! I got mine in grey which just came back in stock (in medium which is what I'm wearing), but they also have different sizes available in black, white and a pretty bright mango color. It also has pockets in the front! The perfect go to sweatshirt this winter! And bonus: It's on SALE!

2. This sweater. Another recent Nordstrom purchase that I am loving! It's lightweight, but still soft and warm feeling. It's so flattering and comfortable. And you can wear it with leggings...SOLD! I got it in the grey color, but now I'm wanting it in black, red, olive...ok every color.

3. More Play-Doh! Yes, Camden is still obsessed with Play-Doh this week! I ordered this shape and colors play-doh kit from Amazon and he loves making all the shapes and naming all the colors!

4. This Is Us. Ok, so I just started watching the first season on NBC.com and I'm hooked! I'm only through episode 4, so don't spoil anything for me! I'm hoping to get caught up so I can start watching the new season!

5. This book! I know I mentioned it in my 2017 goals post, but I am about half way through it and I can't seem to put it down at night! So easy to relate to and beautifully written!

Friday Favorites

1 | These sandals are everything. I decided to splurge on something for myself, which I haven't done in a while. No, these were not discounted during the anniversary sale. Last month was a very busy month for us and I decided to reward myself for getting through it with these sandals that have been on my wishlist for a while now. I'm so glad I bought them. No buyers remorse here. They are so comfy and are now a daily staple in my wardrobe!

2 | The crockpot is my new best friend. I've found it to be so difficult to prepare meals during the week. When Bill gets home from work all we want to do is spend time with Cam as a family. I don't want to spend it preparing a meal. So, last night I made a really stupidly easy crockpot meal. Chicken breasts, red potatoes with cream of mushroom condensed soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, salt and pepper. I threw everything in the crockpot mid-morning and it was all ready by dinner time. We quickly steamed some fresh green beans to go with it and voilà! Dinner is served!

3 | Why hasn't anyone told me about the Amazon Cloud Drive? Did you know if you have Amazon Prime (which if you don't, you need to sign up now! It is awesome.) you get free photo storage in their cloud? AND there is an app you can download to transfer photos right from your phone?! This is what I will be working on this weekend. I am in desparate need of organizing all my (millions of) photos.

Friday Favorites

Here are a few of my favorite things from this week:

I have been on a Rosé kick for a few weeks and this Charles & Charles bottle is my current fave. Not too bad on the wallet either (retails for about $13 per bottle)!

I received these booties from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in the mail today and I love them! They are a bit snug so I may try to return them for a larger size this weekend at Nord's (size at least a 1/2 size up if you are planning to order these!). I also ordered this Lush shift dress, but it is not set to arrive until mid August... whomp whomp...

I have been craving s'mores for some odd reason this week. I've been making them in the microwave just about every night (no, I'm not pregnant!). I just layer the gram, chocolate and marshmallow and nuke it for 10 secs. Then, smash the top with the second half of the gram. Comes out all gooey and delicious!

I am hosting a baby shower for a close friend this weekend and the theme is vintage story books. Remember all the Little Golden Books? I ordered a bunch of them from Amazon and I've been having fun reminiscing reading them from when I was little. I've got a very crafty friend that made all the decor for the shower and I'm pretty excited to see everything all set up! Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I feel like this week just breezed by! I'm still trying to play catch up from our trip at home and in the work arena. Sometimes I feel as though I can't keep up with all the projects I want to accomplish. My to do list is getting to be lengthy! Anyone else? I'm linking up with Amanda today and sharing my Friday Favorites. 

Here are a few of my favorite things that have helped get me through this busy week:

This coffee mug is everything! It's dishwasher safe which is awesome because it's hard to find a good travel mug that you can throw in the dishwasher. I actually use this even around the house! You never know when your coffee may spill!

I live by my Day Designer. I would be so lost without it! I have to write down my daily to-do's and I even write everything out by hour. 

I'm a huge list maker. If I'm feeling overwhelmed, I simply write a list of things I need to do or what I need to accomplish for the day. I love finding cute, spiral bound notebooks (like this one) for all my list making needs. 

I'm trying my best to drink more water during the day. Instead of that big fountain pop, I'm starting to carry around this Contigo travel water bottle. I love that it comes with a no spill straw. You can even use them for protein shakes or to mix powdered drinks. When you remove the straw, it becomes an enclosed thermos that is perfect for shaking. 

I have started to wear my Kate Spade watch everyday. I hate scrounging around my purse for my phone to find the time when I'm out and about. I love the leather band and the simple style that compliments anything I wear.

What helps you get through a busy week?

This weekend, however, we have no plans which I am excited about! I'm hoping to just spend some QT with my little family and enjoy the summer weather while it lasts!

A little late, but better than never right?

1 | I made my first Instagram sale purchase from @shopthuyscloset yesterday eeeek! I'm usually pretty leary of social media sales and very rarely purchase things off of ebay even. But, I've been wanting a pair of Hunter boots for a while now and it just so happened that she was selling a pair that were my size and for $125. They are nwt (new with tags) orginal rain boots in Navy matte. Pretty excited to receive these babies in the mail!

2 | I'm loving my DIY Valentine's Day inspired manicure this week :) The colors I used are OPI's 'Kennenbuck-Port' and Salley Hansen's complete salon manicure 'Shell We Dance?'. 

3 | I'm pretty excited to start dressing Camden in these preppy little Ralph Lauren numbers now that we are in size 3M!

4 | Trader Joe's flowers always make me smile! Got these beautiful, colorful mums for just $4.99 the other day and they have been making me long for Spring!

5 | Last but not least, Jimmy Fallon's late night show has been keeping me laughing recently! Did anyone see Will Farrell's lip synch performance or the Saved By the Bell sketch? Both are hilarious!!

Another week has flown by...

TGIF! Tomorrow I will be 37 weeks pregnant which means I will be FULL TERM! Yikes!

From here on out, I will probably be posting mostly about baby things because it is all I can think about... Sorry in advance!

Here's what I'm loving from this week (besides my birthday goodies):

1 | New baby gear!

I received my Happy Baby Wrap in the mail this week and I am so excited to test it out with little Camden! I have heard great reviews about these wraps. Any moms out there have experience?

I also received the wipes case and blanket I ordered on sale from the Little Bunches Etsy shop. Crystal (the owner) threw in a diaper clutch and pad for free! I was so surprised and happy when I opened this package!

Of course, they are all my favorite shades of grey...

2 | Baby clothes... Yes, he has more clothes!

Old Navy was having a sale and I couldn't resist picking up these onsies... I'm a sucker for buffalo check! And let's be honest... Camden is going to be a #Bachelor for life! No girl will be good enough for him ;)

A family friend of Bill's sent us a package of all Ralph Lauren baby clothes. I mean... that cardigan!!

3 | Seasonal Candles!

Yes, I broke down and bought some seasonal candles from Bath and Body Works! I couldn't decide between Spiced Apple Toddy and Vanilla Snow Flake, so I bought both in the smaller size... I can't wait to burn these!

4 | Camden's bag is packed...

That's right! It's getting real folks! I have his hospital bag ready to go... 

This weekend we will be packing our bags as well.

Happy Halloween!!

I've gotta say, I'm not a big Halloween person. I do, however, enjoy a good costume party! My friends and I are having a little brunch get together tomorrow morning to celebrate one of the girl's birthdays and we are required to wear a costume. I chose cat ears and will dress in all black. Fat black cat it is this year! So creative, I know!

Here's what I'm loving from this week:

1 | Halloween Candy... We just made it through last night's trick-or-treaters with out running out of candy. I blame the baby for making me eat so much!

2 | Grey Plaid Blanket Scarf. Yes, I need another one in my life. I love the colors of this one from ASOS.

3 | Broccoli Cheddar Chicken & Rice Casserole. I made this recipe for dinner last night and it was so good! Total comfort food!

4 | Rose Gold French Mani nails. How awesome are these nails? Colors are Essie Mirror Metallics Penny Talk and Essie Adore-a-Ball. 

5 | New Blogs to Follow! I just love when I stumble accross new blogs to follow. I've been working on cleaning up my Bloglovin' feed (btw - follow me here) and trying to categorize all my blogs and it has been very helpful with streamlining my blog reading in the mornings!

A Blonde Ambition - How have I not been following? Leslie has impecable style and does it all while in her 3rd trimester with her second girl on the way! I just love her sense of humor too!

Two Twenty One - Again, have I been living under a rock? I love this blog! Chelsea posts so many great DIYs and home projects. Not to mention she is the mother of an adorable new little boy!

Hosting & Toasting - I actually came accross Brittney's blog via IG when I spotted her post of a beautiful fall inspired brunch party. BAC (as she refers to herself) is a girl after my own heart, with a love for styled events, entertaining and fashion.

Friday Favorites

First of all, I want to say thank you to those that commented on my post yesterday! Just another reason why I love the blogging community so much! I learned a lot from all of your advice and I think we have figured out what to get and what we can wait to purchase before baby comes :)

Can you believe it's Friday already?! 

Here's what I've been loving lately...

1 | Currently wearing and loving OPI's Kennebunk-Port and Revlon's Colorburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie. Both oldies, but goodies!

2 | I received Camden's monogrammed coming home outfit in the mail this week! I was so exicted to receive it! Ann Everett Rae's shop on etsy has the cutest little monogrammed baby outfits and accessories! They were so great to work with and sent several proofs to make sure it turned out just the way I wanted and it only took about 2 weeks from the time I ordered the outfit to receive it (which is pretty quick for something that is monogrammed or personalized). Can't wait to bring him home in this little get up :)

3 | Gold decor from Crate & Barrel that has recently caught my eye... Love this little acorn plate and gold candle sticks!

4 | Just recently stumbled accross H&M's maternity section online and I am loving what I see! I know I shouldn't splurge on any more maternty wear... But, seriously... MAMA imitation leather pants? I feel like I would be the coolest pregnant lady around if I wore these. And I would pair them with the faux fur vest!

5 | Last, but not least, I am loving my new hand stamped bar and charm necklace from Mia Earrings! I showed Bill the necklace I wanted a few weeks ago and that I wanted it for my birthday or our anniversary and he said to go ahead and purchase it now! I wonder if that means there is something else coming for anniversary/birthday?! We shall see...

Friday Favorites

Well, we made it through another week!

Tonight we have plans to have dinner with my parents and put together some baby things. Sunday I have my family baby shower! I am so excited to celebrate this little guy once again!

Here's what I'm loving from this week:

1 | Pottery Barn Kids everything... This store is going to be the death of me! I ordered Camden's first pair of Christmas PJs! There's nothing that makes me more happy than thinking of snuggling him by the Christmas tree :)

2 | I also ordered a personalized boppy cover because, why not?!

3 | I am also loving the diaper bag I got at my first shower from PBK. It is the perfect size and has a lot of room for all the essentials. I can wear it over my shoulder or it has a longer shoulder strap to wear as a crossbody. It's also one that Bill could use without feeling too "girly." :)

4 | I have been craving everything salty + sweet. Thinking about making these tonight for dessert:

5 | It's also time to get some pumpkins! I'm not sure if I'm up for carving them this year... Maybe paint?

Friday Favorites

Friday already?! I'm not complaining!

This week went by pretty quickly. I've been busy with work and also with getting ready for the dinner party I hosted last night (pics to come). With that said, I was not a good blogger this week. My pregnancy brain and fatigue are definitely getting to me! I will try to be better next week!

Let's get right to it...

Here's what I'm loving from this week (aka my instagram photo dump):

1 | Boots and blanket scarf weather! I got to break them both out this week because our temps dropped to the 40s/50s! Boy does that scarf bring the heat! Perfect for chilly days!

2 | My favorite fall polish at the moment: essie's after school boy blazer. I got this one last year (I believe) and remember loving it! It is a really dark navy blue that almost looks black. Perfect for October and right before Halloween! I am also a sucker for those mini pumpkin candies, candy corn and seasonal Pottery Barn catalogues!

3 | Amazon Prime is my new best friend. I originally joined so I could get all the benefits from the Amazon instant videos (like Netflix), but now I'm realizing that I get free 2 day shipping on a lot of items and other great perks! I ordered these Wubbanubs on Tuesday of this week and they were on my doorstep on Thursday afternoon. The membership is $99/year, but I definitely think it is worth it and I will be saving money in the long run. Free diaper delivery? Yes please!

4 | Hosting my first dinner party and using all our goodies from our wedding (yes, we've been married almost a year...) was definitely the highlight of the week! I figured I had better host one now before baby comes... Hopefully, there will be more in the future! More pics and a recap post to come!
