Friday Finds | Amazon + A Few New Beauty Products

Happy Friday! We made it!! I wanted to quickly share with you some things I found this week from Amazon and a few new beauty products.

(plush knit tunic sweatshirt (on sale for 50% off!) | leggings | slippers )

First up are these high waisted compression leggings that are very comparable to my Zella leggings and are half the price! They have great reviews and run true to size! You can get a 2 pack as well for $45, even better value!

In that same Amazon order I got a 2 pack of these sports bras which are so comfortable! They come with removable padding cups too which I like. I wouldn't say these are good for running if you need more support, but if you just need a comfortable sports bra these are great! And, only $19 for a pack of 2 with prime shipping!!

I also ordered a couple health/beauty products from Amazon that came this week. I just started taking these Collagen Peptides and I've heard only great things about them from friends and other bloggers. They are supposed to help with skin, hair and nail growth, joints, and the list goes on! And each serving has 18 grams of protein so it helps me get my protein in for the day. I just mix a scoop into my coffee in the morning (and also add my favorite sugar free creamer) and it dissolves and is tasteless. I also just received this pack of charcoal tooth brushes! I have been wanting to try out the charcoal toothpastes or powder to help whiten my teeth, but then I found this pack of 5 toothbrushes for $10 and I thought I would start there to see if it helps. I will report back after I've used them!

A few other new beauty products I've been using are this anti-redness BB Cream and this eyeliner that I use for my waterline. First, this anti-redness bb cream is SO good for those that tend to get a red tint to their skin in the winter time like me. This is caused by the dry air and my skin is so dry in the winter and tends to be more irritated. This BB cream helps to color correct the red tone and transforms to a universal shade to match your skin tone. I just rub this into my face and either wear it by itself or under my foundation if I'm doing full make up for the day.

This Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner I bought as a recommendation from Jen (The Sister Studio) who raves about it as a great waterline pencil. I bought this set when she mentioned it was on sale for only $14.99! You get the pencil and a mascara in the set. The eyeliner itself is $21 normally! So this is a great value!

That's all I have for this week's Friday Finds! Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Friday Finds

I'm baaaaack!! I took a little blogging/IG hiatus over the past 3 weeks and it has really helped to refresh my batteries so to speak. I was able to prioritize some projects that have been on my back burner for a while and just really reflect on what I want to accomplish over the next few months, years, etc. I will say that I didn't miss it at first, but as time went by I really started to miss this little outlet of mine! I have set some limitations on myself for how often I blog or the time spent on social media. I think it definitely plays a part of feeling like this little blog can be more of a chore than something fun! And I started this to be fun and not something I feel like I HAVE to do!

+++

With that said, I wanted to share with you all this cute little plaid shirt dress! I got it in the mail a few weeks ago and just tried it on yesterday! It is so perfect for fall and I love it layered with a cardigan and boots! BONUS, it is currently on sale for only $26! It is fully stocked in all sizes (there are tall and petite options too). I am wearing an XS for reference, so I'd say it runs true to size.

Happy Weekend!!

Friday Finds + Faves

Happy Friday, friends! Are you all ready for the long weekend? We don't have too much going on, but we do have a family wedding to attend tomorrow evening. We will be bringing along the kids again (Camden is the ring bearer!), so we will see how long they both last through the ceremony and reception! Although, the last wedding we took them to, they loved that dance floor! 😆 Also, very excited for college football to start tomorrow! We will be watching the first Bucks game at home while we get ready for the wedding, but we definitely will be cheering them on!

Sorry this post is up later than expected! Life has just been super busy lately and I'm hoping to get on a better routine of posting soon! This week's post will have a lot to do with all of the amazing SALES that are happening this weekend! I will list a few of theme below, but check out my 'Current Sales' tab for more Labor Day sales as I will be adding them as I find them all weekend!

Now on to my Finds and Faves from this past week...

1. This cozy, oversized camo sweatshirt came in the mail earlier in the week and I'm in love! I am digging the lighter, more muted camo colors and the fact that it is over sized and works perfectly with leggings! Perfect for bumming around the house! BONUS - it just so happens to be on major sale for less than $27!

2. These high waisted, olive green jeggings were the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe! The fit is perfect and they are really comfortable (run true to size). I love that I can mix them with so many different tops and layers! I love the mix of the olive green with this black and white striped top and my denim jacket. All fall staple pieces!

These jeggings are currently on sale for less than $38!

3. This graphic tee says it all... I love the easy outfit of a graphic tee with comfy jeans! Right now all graphic tees from this retailer are 50% off and most are under $10! Linked to a few of my favorites below!

5. Favoreats app - I just downloaded this app this week in hopes it will help me with my weekly meal planning and grocery shopping. Meggan from the Golden Style Book recommended it and I'm so glad she did! I have been feeling really burnt out with cooking and coming up with meal ideas, so this came at the perfect time! It actually will link to your Pinterest account so you can pull in recipes from there and you can also share recipes with friends that download the app too!

4. The first Game Day of the season is tomorrow! I'm super excited for football season to start! I feel like it is always the start of such a fun season of the year and ends with a slew of my favorite holidays!

That's all I got for this short and sweet Friday Finds + Faves! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

Friday Finds + Faves

Happy Friday, friends! We made it through the week!

I want to start sharing these Friday Finds/Faves posts with you all again. I always feel like I have so much to share and then the week flies by! But, these Friday posts can be just a quick little round up of some things I have loved from the week and also a round up of the outfit posts from my instagram... So, let's get started!

1. Amazon Finds - I got $20 this tunic tee and this $10 blanket scarf on the mail earlier this week and I am loving the combo with leggings! The blanket scarf is actually a triangle shape, which I like so it's not so bulky when I wrap it around my neck. The tunic fits true to size and I'm wearing a small. It has a nice long length that is perfect to wear with leggings! Comes in a ton of colors!

2. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings - These were definitely a splurge and I actually ordered then right before the Nordstrom sale ended when they came back in stock in my size. They are back to full price now ($98), BUT I will say after receiving them and trying them on they are definitely worth the hype! They are true SPANX brand and really suck you in up top! And I love that you can dress them up or down. I'm planning to put together a blog post maybe next month with lots of different ways to style them. These run true to size and I'm wearing a size small. They are a little long for me, but I'm able to pull them up a bit so they don't bunch up too much at the bottom. (I'm also only 5'2" so everything is long on me!)

3. Target backpack: I ordered this backpack handbag after my girl Ja'Net (Running on Clean) raved about it on her instagram stories. I'm so happy I got this bag because it can fit all the things AND double as a diaper bag if needed. Also, it's less than $37!

4. Chilly Mornings: It has been chilly in the mornings this week and it really got me excited for fall weather! I actually wore a cardigan and jeans a few days this week! Of course, it's supposed to get back up in the 80s and possibly 90s next week, so enjoying it while it lasts!

Other random things I loved from this week...

5. Read Scripture app: I recently downloaded this app to help me with studying the bible. I've tried some other bible study apps and this one is my favorite because it actually has videos you watch before each chapter that gives a great visual of the stories. I'm such a visual learner and this has helped me understand the stories of the bible so much better than just reading it alone! Highly recommend!

6. Lindsey's 'LRT Fall' playlist on Spotify: This playlist is giving me all the 'sitting in a cozy coffee shop' vibes. I love this mix of music with all of my favorite bands/artists (think Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Vance Joy, etc). I've been listening to this mix in the morning while I work and sip on my coffee!

7. Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer (sugar free): Speaking of coffee... Call me #basic but, the combo of my freshly brewed coffee and this creamer in the morning just makes me happy!

8. One on One time: I've been loving our new schedule which allows me to have one on one time with my boys every Wednesday. I've been able to switch my work schedule around so that every Wednesday I'm home with one of my boys (the other one goes to my parent's house for the day). I've just been craving more one on one time with both of them, and my parents agreed to this set up so we made it happen! They are both at such fun ages that also require a lot of my undivided attention. Wether we spend the day out and about running around, meeting for a playdate or just hanging out at home, I just love being with them and having that quality time with them. This past Wednesday, I was home with Bennett and we had such a fun day! He was feeling a little under the weather (I think it's allergies!) so we just stayed home most of the day, but were able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather in the afternoon. His little smile and laugh just melts my mama heart!

What have you been loving this week?

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Friday Finds + April Favorites + GIVEAWAYS!

We made it to Friday! I don't know about you guys, but I feel as though this month is flying by! I have a lot I wanted to share from this week, so I'll get right to it!

FINDS FROM THIS WEEK

I wanted to share some of my favorite recent finds with you all before they sell out or go out of stock.

block heel pumps - under $30! | beaded hoop earrings - on sale for less than $7!

First off, this wrap dress is something I ordered in hopes to wear to an upcoming wedding, but it would also be the perfect vacation dress! I just love the flattering wrap style with ruffles that is so on trend right now. The floral print is so vibrant in person and perfect for summer! Unfortunately, it looks like there's only one size left in this print (XS), but this style dress comes in a lot of different prints, colors and patterns!

Here are all the options below:

Second, I wanted to share this kimono that I got recently. I'm obviously on a kimono kick and I love that you can dress them up or down and even use them as a cover up! This one caught my eye with the pretty, contrasting floral print and the tassel detailing on the hem.

shorts - on sale! | wedges - on sale! | v-neck tee

APRIL FAVORITES

I wanted to share with you all the favorites from April in a separate post this week, but time go away from me! So, I'll go ahead and quickly share them here...

In the month of April, these cropped, chewed hem jeans were the most clicked on item (and a handful of you bought them!). These are definitely my favorite pair of jeans currently. I just love the wash and the crop style chewed hem.

And if you didn't know, LOFT is currently running a sale for mother's day offering 30% off everything + an extra 10% off your order with code: LOVEMOM

So, basically my entire outfit below is on sale!

kimono - 40% off! | cami - 40% off! | jeans - 40% off! | block heel pumps - less than $30 | monogram necklace

This $15 kimono was the most purchased item from the month of April! And for good reason! The price is just right and you can't beat 2-day free shipping!

Some other favorites from last month were this palm print one piece, this $10 racer back bralette and my favorite long sleeve tee (I have it in 3 colors now!).

Friday Finds | Vol. 7

Happy Friday! I wanted to end the week with a good ol' fashioned 'Friday Finds' post since I haven't done one of these in a while! I feel like there are so many great items I've found recently that I've wanted to share with you all!

#1. This PJ set came home with me last week and it is the best $20 I've spent in a while! SO soft and comfy! True to size!

#2. As always, Target is killing it in the shoe dept. I ordered these block heel pumps (in color Taupe) because I was in need of some dressier heels. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them on at how comfortable they are! ALSO - Target is currently offering 20% off all shoes with code: SHOES, so snag these while they are discounted!

#3. I finally jumped on the bralette bandwagon and ordered this $10 racerback one from Amazon. It is surprisingly so comfortable and easy to throw on under over-sized sweaters, tee shirts, etc. For those of us that need a little more support than what a bralette can provide, I actually wear mine over my favorite strapless bra (this one is AWESOME! Does not slip down).

$10 lace bralette | sweater (I sized up to a Med) | jeans

#4. Another Amazon find recently were these fun, beaded earrings! I really need to add some more fun statement earrings to my collection for summer and I am not willing to fork over $40 a pair. This pretty red $10 pair came yesterday and they are actually really great quality! And not too heavy which I was worried about. (I do plan on posting an Amazon Finds post next week, so you will hear about these 2 items again! But, wanted to share them before they are sold out!)

#5. I just ordered and received this fun, floral wrap dress from Express and it is SO perfect for summer! I am on the hunt for a few dresses I can not only wear to weddings, but also on my upcoming vacation. This one is SO flattering and the colors are so pretty in person too! They have a ton of different colors and patterns of this dress as well. This one is also gorgeous!

There are my top 5 finds of the week! Pop over to my 'Try Ons + Sales' page for info on all the best online sales happening this weekend!

Friday Finds | Vol. 6

Happy Friday, friends! I'm going to go ahead and do an old school 'phone dump' for this edition of Friday Finds. Do you all remember when that was a thing? I feel like I have so many things to share, but forget what they are when Friday rolls around. But, then I look at my phone and am reminded by my pictures!

+ If you follow me on instagram or read my blog post yesterday, you know I just received these designer dupe sunglasses and are in love with them (yes, we get it Lindsay!)! The lace up sweatshirt I'm wearing is actually a fall 2017 purchase, but it is still in stock in a few pretty colors perfect for spring! The jeans are my new high waisted distressed pair from AE (there's a BOGO 50% off all jeans promotion happening now!). I'm convinced I will only buy high waisted pants for the rest of my life! And these loafers were probably the best $15 spent over the past year! Snag yourself a pair for spring!

+ Sorry for the awful mirror selfie and the filter from IG stories, but I forgot to save a normal photo of this! I was able to sneak away during nap time last weekend for a little try on session at Nordstrom Rack. They have a TON of great jeans on sale right now! I really loved these STS Blue raw hem distressed jeans (which are on sale for less than $40!), but decided I didn't need another pair... But, now I'm second guessing myself and may have to order them! The tee I'm wearing is Madewell on sale for $16! They don't have the black and white stripe one online, but I'm loving all the solid colors too. This tee runs TTS and is so soft!

+ This week I ordered and received this $10 sweater in the mail today! I got the pink color which I thought would be perfect for spring with white jeans. I sized up to a medium for a loose, comfy fit. It is really soft and not too heavy. I also got this sweater and these $8 mirrored sunglasses. Yes, I think I'm set with sunglasses for the spring/summer! Hoping to take some outfit pics over the weekend with these! Stay tuned!

+ Also, Old Navy was having a great sale earlier in the week so I snagged this dress for spring (a possible Easter dress?) and these cute little bunny button ups for the boys for Easter!

+ I finally changed out our front door mat (from our xmas one lol!) and the wreath for spring! I had a few questions about the wreath on my instastories and unfortunately, it is no longer available (from Target a few years ago). But, I linked to a few similar options and some other pretty spring wreaths below!

+ And your random recipe for this week... Sheet pan root veggies and apple chicken sausage! Literally all you do is chop everything (I used sweet potatoes, yukon gold potatoes, zucchini and shredded carrots), throw it on a sheet pan with some olive oil, salt and pepper. I baked at 400 for 35 mins, but our oven tends to lean on the 'cool' side, so you might want to check after 30 mins or so. I'm all about the easy and healthy meals for din din!

And because I feel like I haven't shared very many pictures of the boys recently, here's your fix of cute toddler boys!

That's all for this Friday Finds! Happy weekend!

Friday Finds | Vol. 5

Happy Friday, friends! This week flew by! I was busy catching up on work, house work, etc. But, it felt good to get back into the swing of things after traveling last week. Did you all have a nice Valentine's Day? I loved that both boys had little Vday parties in their daycare classes and they got so many cute little Valentines! They both came home yesterday with their little decorated boxes stuffed with goodies! It makes me so excited for these types of holidays as they grow up!

Bill was out of town the beginning of the week and returned home on Wednesday just in time to enjoy my homemade heart shaped pizza I made for him! The boys actually liked it too! It was a little bit more thick crusted for our liking, so I may try rolling out a bit thinner next time, but I'd say I did pretty well for my first homemade pizza experience. Bill also surprised me with a gorgeous bouquet of red roses! I mean, what girl doesn't want roses on Valentine's Day?

I wanted to share a few finds from this week with you all before the weekend, so if you are bored you can do a little online shopping! I might be on a little shopping freeze for a while because I just booked a trip to Puerto Plata with some girlfriends for the first week of June! I'm so excited, but that means I need to rein in my shopping habit 😁  So, I will live vicariously through you all if you are shopping this weekend!

Here are a few things I have purchased recently that I'm loving:

1. AE High Waisted Distressed Jeans - These are still on sale for $37! I just received these in the mail this week and they are amazing. They have great stretch and the rips are just right. I don't think I will ever where anything other than high waisted pants for the rest of my life!

2. Fleece Pullover (Amazon) This fleece pullover is a dupe for this one from Abercrombie that is 3 times the cost! I will say when I received it in the mail, I can tell the quality is probably not as good as the A&F one, but it's still very cozy! It definitely has more of a dark blue/navy tone than black (like the picture shows) too. And it runs SMALL so size up at least one size! I got a medium and it fits good, but could have probably gone with a large for a looser fit (I'm normally S/M, Medium in pullovers/coats).

Also, wanted to share a few fun sales that are happening this weekend!

Loft is having a huge sale this weekend (I feel like they always have sales, but this is a good one!)! You get 40% off your purchase in stores or online with code: HAPPY! They are also offering 50% off all sale items! Here are a few of my favorites:

Here's a few Easter dress options:

Also, H&M is offering free shipping and up to 60% off selected styles this weekend! Make sure to check out their home decor section too!

Last, but not least, Nordstrom is having their winter sale with up to 40% off items through Feb 25th! As always, they always offer free shipping and returns, so I love shopping on line with them! Here are a few stand out sale items that I love:

That's all I got for this edition of Friday Finds! Hope you all have a fun weekend!

Friday Finds | Vol. 4

distressed jeans | $17 raw hem v-neck tee | similar cardigan | similar booties | similar beanie

1. These $17 Raw Edge V-Neck tees are back in stock with new colors for spring! I am loving the bright pink and the green jasper color. These tees are sooo soft and just easy to wear and layer. I bought the pale pink one last summer and wore it so much! I may have to bring it out again for Valentine's Day!

2. These pink joggers have got to be my favorite purchase recently! I seriously have been wearing them constantly when I'm home! I sized up to a medium (usually a small at Old Navy) for a comfy fit!

3. I received my $35 Vince Camuto Dupes in the mail yesterday and they are so comfortable! I am so picky with shoes (and they only go on my feet... what movie? anyone?!) and these are so good for the price! I'm sure I will be wearing them a ton once the weather warms up!

4. I recently picked up this L'Oreal Anti-Redness BB cream (thanks to the recommendation from Katie and Ashlee) and holy moly! It is awesome! It's crazy because it actually comes out green, but once you rub it into your skin it transforms into a 'universal shade' to help reduce the look of redness to your skin. I naturally have a reddish tone to my skin and it gets even worse during the winter months when my skin is dry. This BB cream really helps improve the overall tone and complexion of my face!

That's all I have for this Friday Finds! What have you been loving this week?

Make sure to watch my instagram stories today because I will be sharing some of my favorite IG accounts and bloggers with you all for Follow Friday!

PS - Have you entered in the JORD watch giveaway? The giveaway ends Feb. 4th!

Friday Finds | Vol. 3

TGIF friends! What a week! We have been dumped on by snow here in Columbus and a lot of schools have been canceled, delayed, etc. Luckily the roads haven't been too bad because the salt trucks and plows have been out and were prepared for the weather. However, this weather just makes me want to hibernate in my warm, cozy home!

I was able to get out of the house a few times and, of course, found myself at Target (go figure!). If you caught my instastories a few days ago, you know that I picked up a few new fun things that have me excited for Valentine's Day. I'm definitely on a 'blush pink' kick lately!

If you didn't catch my IG stories, I'll just give you a run down of a few things I found below:

1. This mug is just too cute for words! What can I say? I'm a sucker for a cute coffee mug!

2. Also, with V-day in mind, I picked up this cute gold 'LOVE' banner that I plan to use for decorating our mantel. Just working on finding a few more 'filler' pieces to complete the mantel decor. I'll post the final product when it's finished!

3. This candle first caught my eye on the shelf with it's pretty pink container, but then I was sold on it when I smelled it's scent! It has a light, fresh, floral scent (not overwhelming at all) with a hint of vanilla and has me dreaming of Spring!

4. I have been loving the Essie gel couture polishes and am currently wearing the color 'pre-show jitters'. It is the perfect shade of white/blush! I love that it's not too stark white and has blush undertones.

5. You guys know I love these NYX butter glosses and I just got the 'vanilla cream pie' shade. It is the perfect everyday pink/nude color!

A few other random finds from this week are these Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Unleashed on the go cups! I got a few to try for breakfast and they are so GOOD! You just add water, mix and microwave! It is like a pancake in a cup. I added a little sugar free syrup on top!

Also, I've been using my $26 activity tracker I mentioned in my last FF this week and I am loving it! It is so light weight and easy to sync with the app on my phone (which is free!). It tracks my daily steps, calories burned and miles walked. It also can track sleep, but I don't use it for that. If you guys are looking for something similar, I highly recommend this one!

*Side note: I added a few new tabs at the top of the blog which are my 'Recent Purchases' and 'Lindsay's Favorites', which includes all my favorite products from makeup/beauty to baby/toddler and all other random things I'm loving! Make sure to check them out!

That's all I have for this week's Friday Finds!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Friday Finds | Vol. 2

(vest - ON SALE 40% off! | v-neck sweater | distressed jeans (only $64) | similar sperry boots on sale! | monogram necklace)

Is it just me or is anyone else finding it so difficult to find the energy/motivation to get going on their diets/working out/organizing everything goals for the new year? Blame it on the snow and cold temps, my kids not sleeping well at night, and just overall winter blahs, but I'm already over this month and ready for February! We are going out for Bill's birthday this weekend, so I've had that to look forward to. Sorry to be a Debbie downer on here, but just trying to keep it real with you guys!

I do want to share a few things I've found from this past week that have lifted my spirits and hope they lift yours as well!

1. J.Crew Factory is having a major sale currently with 40% off everything site wide + an extra 50% off all clearance! So many cute sweaters on sale including this sweet little tie bell sleeve one and this open front marbled cotton cardigan.

2. Is it lame that new kitchen towels make me happy? I've been meaning to update our old ones and get some fresh new ones, so I picked up a few of these and this cute one from Target!

3. Did you guys catch Caitlin's post on how she organizes her fridge?! Talk about fridge goals! I now have added this stackable wine tray and this can holder to my shopping cart because I feel like they would help with our fridge storage so much!

4. Recently I requested via IG stories for suggestions on purple shampoos for blondes. I got so many great recommendations! I wanted to make sure to share them on here before I forget. Natalie (East Coast Chic) suggested this one that has great reviews. Karly (Miss in the Midwest) suggested and says she uses this one, but also said she's heard great things about the Unite and the Paul Mitchell one. Marina (not a blogger, but is a Stella & Dot rep on IG @marina04118) recommended this Kevin Murphy one. My good friend and hairstylist recommended this one. I also saw that Laura (from Reese & Rowe) uses this one that seems to be a bit more budget friendly than most! I'm going to try out that last one first and will report back!

5. While searching for a cheaper more budget friendly version of a fitbit on Amazon, I cam across this fitness tracker. I really only want one to track steps and calories burned throughout the day, so I don't really need all the bells and whistles of a fitbit or a more expensive one. This one doesn't track heart rate, but that's the only major difference I see? I ordered it and hopefully will receive it this weekend! I will report back on how it works!

That's all I got for this week's Friday Finds!
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Friday Finds | Vol. 1

Hey, friends! Happy Friday! The first one of 2018! This week flew by since it was only a 4 day work week. I'm slowly getting into a routine with working more during the day and having the boys out of the house on work days has been huge!

If you don't know, Bennett started daycare this week (he will go 3 days a week, just like Cam) and it has been a little bit of a tough transition for both of us. Actually, I think I cried more than Bennett did the first day we dropped him off 😭. But, I know eventually he will grow to love 'school' just like his older brother and I know he will learn so much there! We love our daycare and the ladies there are the best!

Besides that, we are all just trying our best to stay warm because it is freezing cold here in Ohio and there is still snow on the ground. I loved seeing all my Charleston bloggers' posts of all the snow they got there! So crazy!

Anyways, I wanted to start the year off with my first Friday Finds post today! I really like sharing these posts with different things I've found that are good deals, or just great finds in general with you all and you guys seem to enjoy these posts as well!

So, here we go....

1. This MarleyLilly pull over is still on sale for less than $40 (originally $60)! I've posted about it a few times on instagram, but I don't think I've mentioned it on the blog yet. I got one for Christmas and I seriously wear it all the time! It is long enough to wear with leggings and has elbow patches! I sized up to a medium for a loser fit so I could wear it over t shirts, or layers.

2. I also got this Black + Decker hand vacuum for Christmas and I have been using it everyday! It is so perfect for quick clean ups around the house or even just picking up all the little dust bunnies in the corners (because hashtag wood floors).

3. It has been so bitterly cold recently that all I want to wear are cozy sweaters and cardigans! Even though the Nordstrom half yearly sale is over, there are still so many cute sweaters and cardigans marked down. I have my eye on this cozy cardigan and this adorable off the shoulder sweater!

4. I've started to gather some simple, healthy meal recipes on Pinterest in the hopes I can get my meal planning act together this year. I'm all about crock pot, sheet pan, one pot recipes to make the cooking and cleaning process easier! If you have any good ones, send them my way or leave the link in the comments below!

5. It's only the first week of January and I'm already looking forward to Valentine's Day! Have you all seen the new line of V-day decorations at Target?! Ughhh... give me all the pretty pink and red things!

That's all I got for this week! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

My current wish list for fall aka what I have in my Nordstrom shopping cart. I know what you're thinking... "Lindsay, it's still summer! Why are you thinking about Fall already?!' Well my friends, because all the good fall clothes sell out FAST this time of year... trust me! I am so sad that these booties that I ordered during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale are now on back order until October :( So, I decided to cancel my order because I'm too impatient. Instead, I may opt for this pair. Also, these jeans suddenly were out of stock after I had ordered them during the sale? And now they are back in stock at full price... So, I might have to go with this pair instead. I love the brand so I'm hoping they work!

In other news, I'm off to Put-In-Bay this weekend with some friends for a little girls' trip and I'm so excited! I can't remember the last time I went on a girls' trip! I'm actually bringing a book (or 2) to attempt to get some reading done by the pool. I can't remember the last time I had the down time to just read and relax. Also, sleeping in... like past 8:30am... that sounds heavenly!

I found the cutest little wine tumbler that says 'Mommy's Sippy Cup' from this etsy shop. I bought 4 of them to give to each of my mommy friends that are going on the trip! I'm so excited! Did I mention I'm excited? Of course, I will miss my hubby and the boys dearly... But, mama needs this!

Happy Fri - YAY!

Friday 5 (all on SALE!)

We made it to Friday! Hooray!

We are finally settling into our new little routine at my parents' house. Although this (not so) little dude has been teething so bad and waking up in the middle of the night whining in pain! One of his bottom teeth finally popped out, but he's still working on the one next to it. So, mommy has been drinking all the caffeine she can find...

Anyhoo, here are my top 5 favorite finds from this week, all of which are on sale!!

1. I found my black Nike 'Juvenate' sneakers on sale for less than $60 (also comes in great colors for spring)!

2. My favorite scoop neck long sleeve tee is on sale for $10.80 - 40% off

3. These tassel earrings are on sale for 50% off and are currently waiting to be purchased in my nordstrom shopping cart.

4. This anorak jacket is currently 40% off and is just like the one I have from Target that I've been wearing lately.

5. This grey version of my favorite faux leather tote is currently 33% off! Such a great everyday bag!

The boys have been enjoying the warmer weather this week and actually got to play outside! Camden has been saying almost everyday 'I wanna go oussssiiiide!' in the cutest voice! He just loves it and it makes me so excited for spring time!

Unfortunately, I think it's supposed to get cold again this weekend. So, we've made plans to visit COSI (Columbus kids science museum) and have a few play dates scheduled with some friends I haven't seen in a while. So happy to be back in our home town with family and friends!

I hope you all have a great weekend and happy shopping! :)

Friday Finds | Fall (Budget Friendly) Wishlist

I'm hoping to get back to my #WIW Wednesday series next week, but wanted to share with you what I have on my wishlist/shopping cart for the month of October. All items are less than $100!

I feel like now is the perfect time to wear these long sleeved, crew neck t-shirts just about everyday. There are so many colors to choose from, might as well get a few different ones!

I'm also loving this henley style long sleeved shirt. I would pair it with this pretty, light weight scarf (only $19!).

Speaking of scarves... Can one have too many plaid scarves? I think not. I love the colors of this plaid square scarf. Perfect for the upcoming holiday season!

I'm on the hunt for a good pair of distressed skinny jeans for fall as well and this pair seems like the perfect fit. And the price tag is right on point, only $64!

I've had my eye on these black nikes for a few months now and I think it's finally time to pull the trigger. They would be the perfect every day shoe for running errands and chasing around a busy toddler. They would fit quite nicely with my 'momiform' of these leggings and t-shirts too. :)

I've been searching for a good casual, date night clutch for a while and I think I finally found one! This black fold over clutch would be perfect for date night or girls night out. It's also only $25!

What's on your fall wishlist?
Happy Friday and happy shopping!

Friday Finds : Scarf Season!

top row: one | two | three
bottom row: one | two | three

Scarf season is upon us! It may still be a bit warm out to rock a big, oversized blanket scarf, but you will want to purchase your scarfs for the upcoming season now before they are out of stock. I remember last year, all the good blanket scarves sold out so quickly!

A scarf is a great transitional piece to wear while the temperatures are changing. You can throw one on with a tee shirt and jeans when it's a crisp autumn day or layer it on with a sweater and vest when it gets really cold.

I've listed some of my favorites below, all of which are $40 or less!

Happy Friday and Happy Scarf Season!
