I am so excited for dress season!! There are so many occasions in the spring and summer that we need a dress for. And when it gets really hot in the summer, I love just wearing a casual swing or maxi dress! I've rounded up a bunch of my favorite styles for all occasions. The best part is that they are all under $50!!
I found some really cute and transitional items at Target yesterday! Even though it's still freezing out here in Ohio, I know those transitional temps are right around the corner! I love adding lightweight layers for spring! Lightweight jackets, cardigans, button front shirts are all great pieces to add to your wardrobe. I love a good pair of white denim for spring too! You can dress it up or down, depending on your occasion. And don't forget a pretty floral dress for upcoming weddings, events, showers, brunches, Easter, etc!
Everything I tried on pretty much fit true to size. I am wearing a small in all tops and the dress, and a size 4 regular in the white jeans. I grabbed a 6 regular in the dark wash high waisted jeggings and they fit well, but were a bit too long for me (I'm 5'2").
Also, I saved a video try on of all these outfits in my instagram story highlights under 'Target finds' and 'Try Ons' for those that like to see try ons in video version!
First up is this really cute blue and white pin striped top ($23!)! It is 3/4 length sleeves and the back hem is a bit longer in the back. I love this top paired with white denim! Unfortunately, I couldn't find this distressed pair online, but I did find a non-distressed pair with a similar fit HERE ($28!). I also loved these woven mules (I would say size up 1/2 size in these mules, $25!).
Next up, I tried on this cute leopard print blouse ($20!)! This blouse is super comfy and lightweight and has more of a tee shirt material panel on the back, so it's a little more casual. But, you could definitely dress it up with black denim, blazer and heels too!
I really loved this pretty pink linen blend blazer ($35!)! I would say it fits true to size, or go up a size if in between. I'm wearing a size 2 here and need a 4. Unfortunately, I could not find this pink and white striped tee online!
Olive is another big trend right now. Olive shirts, dresses, jackets and jeans! I loved this olive button down top (under $20!)! It is super soft too!
Another way to wear the olive top is to layer it over a tee! Everyone needs a good black and white striped tee and this one fits so well and is only $8!
I really LOVED this camo utility jacket ($35!)! These utility jackets are a great transitional layer to use in the spring time! And everyone loves camo right now!
Last but not least is this pretty blue floral patterned off the shoulder dress ($30!)! I loved the fit and cut of this dress! It is SO flattering! There's also some button detail snd it splits open in the front. This dress would be perfect for a spring wedding, shower, Easter, etc!
Ok, that picture really makes me realize I need to clean my mirror! Anyways... I have been wanting to post about some of my recent Amazon Finds for a while and I finally found the time to sit down last night and type up a post! Summer has been super busy, so thank you for stopping by this little ol' blog of mine that I've been neglecting!
Sometimes it's just easier to put everything down in a blog post instead of posting it on instagram, or stories or even facebook. (However, if you haven't joined my facebook group yet, you should! It is the easiest way to shop all my outfits and I sometimes post items and sales there that I don't post on my instagram.)
Back to my outfit above... The cardigan I'm wearing is actually from ASOS last fall, but I found this one that is very similar on amazon. I also am loving this tunic top! It is perfect for layering under a cardigan or jacket and is long enough to wear with leggings (It is over sized, but I ordered my true size small and I like the blouse-y/ loose fit). It also comes in a bunch of other colors and a long sleeve version as well. When I purchased this one it was $15.99 prime shipping, but now the white color isn't showing prime shipping. However, some of the other colors are prime eligible.
My leggings are the high waisted Zella leggings (these run true to size, I have them in small) which were a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. However, it looks like the black color is all sold out. I love my Zella leggings and highly recommend this brand for the quality and thickness (not see through!). However, I found a very similar pair on Amazon for $20 with great reviews!
Last, but not least... How about my new furry slippers! I was in desparate need of new house slippers and I found these on Amazon and immediately pulled the trigger! I'm so happy I did! They run true to size, I got the Small size (6/7) and they fit great!
Shop my outfit:
Another great Amazon find were these $16 (prime shipping) blush bow mules! They are almost and exact dupe for this pair that I wanted so badly last year! When I found these on Amazon I did not hesitate to add them to my cart! They fit perfectly and run true to size. I ordered my true size 7 and they fit great and are very comfy!
If you are still in summer mode, this $21 palm print kimono is the perfect item to bring along with you to the beach or on vacation! It can be worn as a kimono or even a fun cover up!

This navy floral romper was something I found as I was searching for a dress to wear to a wedding. I was skeptical about it at first, but went ahead and ordered my true size and it was perfect! I actually wore this to the rehearsal dinner instead of the wedding. I will say it was a little sheer, but we were out at night and it you can't actually see through it when you have it on.
Here are a few other items I currently have in my Amazon cart... I'm serious when I say that my entire fall wardrobe may be all Amazon!

I can't believe this trip is finally here! I'm headed to the Dominican Republic (Puerto Plata) early tomorrow morning with 5 of my girl friends for a relaxing vacation by the beach! We have our own 3 bedroom villa with our own private pool which is awesome! I have been looking forward to this vacation, but also a bit nervous about leaving the boys for 6 full days and 5 nights. This is the longest I've been away from them (besides when we went to Germany/Austria for 10 days when Camden was 8 months old). It will be nice to have some time off of work and 'mommy duty', but I'm sure I will come home feeling refreshed and ready to hug my boys!!
I've basically been shopping for the trip for the last 3 months! I've been so excited about wearing some new things and fitting into some smaller sizes since I've lost a little bit of weight since the beginning of the year. I actually bought a few bikinis to wear too! I never thought I would be in a bikini again, but I'm feeling more confident about my body and the fact that it will be my close girlfriends at our own private pool anyways lol!
I wanted to share with you guys what I packed for the trip in case you need some ideas for an upcoming vacation or just some items to add to your summer closet!

I will be taking a little blogging break for the next week or so, but I'm hoping to still be able to post on instagram from time to time, so make sure to follow me for photos from our trip!
I've been working on 'upping' my shoe game this season. I am very picky about shoes (and they only go on my feet... name that movie!) so, it takes a lot for me to commit to a pair that I like. I'm all for spending a little more for a pair that I know will not only last a long time but that is actually comfortable to wear.
However, I'm loving all the different sandal trends that have been popular this season and I wanted to be able to have a handful of options for different occasions to choose from. So, I have been successful at scoring some really cute, trendy sandals for less!
Here are my top 8 favorite shoes for spring and summer:
1. Tory Burch Miller Sandals (I have the color 'make up'): My favorite (and most expensive) pair are these tory burch miller sandals. It took me a while to understand why these were so popular. They are really just leather flip flops with the tory burch logo. But, they are the most comfortable pair of nice looking flip flops of all time! You can dress these up or down. And the fact that they have been popular for years and years now makes me think they are not going out of style any time soon! I'm all about investing in one pair of shoes for each season and for me these sandals were going to be my 'splurge' for spring and summer because I know I will wear them constantly! I got the color 'make up' for reference and it is the perfect neutral tan color with just a hint of blush tones. It is definitely a flattering color on my skin tone. FOR SIZING: It was recommended to me to go up at least a half size in these. I'm typically between a 6.5 and 7 with shoes and I ordered a 7 and they fit great!
2. Jack Rodgers 'Georgica' Jelly Flip Flop (I have an off white color, probably closest to the 'bone' color): I got these a few years ago and they have been such a great summer sandal! Because they are made of the flexible 'jelly' material, they are perfect for the pool, beach, etc. I love that these are fashionable, comfortable AND functional summer shoes!
3. Old Navy Bow Slides: I actually have these in 2 colors, black and blush! They are the perfect slide on your feet and go shoes. And the cute bow just adds a little more to your regular slide sandals.
4. Old Navy Double Strap Sandals: I bought these because they actually look a lot like a designer pair, but of course for a lot less! The gold tone is a great neutral shade and the double straps make for a comfortable fit.
5. Old Navy Bow Wedges: I mean, I obviously can't say 'no' to any shoe with a bow! And when I saw the wedge version of my bow sandals, I had to get a pair!
6. Target (A New Day) Ema High Block Heel Pumps: I bought these pumps because I needed a more 'dressier' pair. I LOVE the block heel trend and the simple, classic look of these (plus the price tag) got my attention! I have been wearing them more than I thought I would and they are surprisingly comfortable! I love that I can pair them with jeans or dresses!
8. Nine West Wedge Pump: These are actually a few years old and it looks like there's only one size left in a white color (mine have nude colored straps), but they have been a great pair for spring and summer over the past few years! I actually have this pair on my current wishlist and I've linked to a few others that are similar below... I think a classic pair of nude/neutral wedges are a closet staple for spring and summer!
We made it to Friday! I don't know about you guys, but I feel as though this month is flying by! I have a lot I wanted to share from this week, so I'll get right to it!
FINDS FROM THIS WEEK
I wanted to share some of my favorite recent finds with you all before they sell out or go out of stock.
First off, this wrap dress is something I ordered in hopes to wear to an upcoming wedding, but it would also be the perfect vacation dress! I just love the flattering wrap style with ruffles that is so on trend right now. The floral print is so vibrant in person and perfect for summer! Unfortunately, it looks like there's only one size left in this print (XS), but this style dress comes in a lot of different prints, colors and patterns!
Here are all the options below:
Second, I wanted to share this kimono that I got recently. I'm obviously on a kimono kick and I love that you can dress them up or down and even use them as a cover up! This one caught my eye with the pretty, contrasting floral print and the tassel detailing on the hem.
I wanted to share with you all the favorites from April in a separate post this week, but time go away from me! So, I'll go ahead and quickly share them here...
In the month of April, these cropped, chewed hem jeans were the most clicked on item (and a handful of you bought them!). These are definitely my favorite pair of jeans currently. I just love the wash and the crop style chewed hem.
And if you didn't know, LOFT is currently running a sale for mother's day offering 30% off everything + an extra 10% off your order with code: LOVEMOM
This $15 kimono was the most purchased item from the month of April! And for good reason! The price is just right and you can't beat 2-day free shipping!
