Friday Finds + April Favorites + GIVEAWAYS!

We made it to Friday! I don't know about you guys, but I feel as though this month is flying by! I have a lot I wanted to share from this week, so I'll get right to it!

FINDS FROM THIS WEEK

I wanted to share some of my favorite recent finds with you all before they sell out or go out of stock.

block heel pumps - under $30! | beaded hoop earrings - on sale for less than $7!

First off, this wrap dress is something I ordered in hopes to wear to an upcoming wedding, but it would also be the perfect vacation dress! I just love the flattering wrap style with ruffles that is so on trend right now. The floral print is so vibrant in person and perfect for summer! Unfortunately, it looks like there's only one size left in this print (XS), but this style dress comes in a lot of different prints, colors and patterns!

Here are all the options below:

Second, I wanted to share this kimono that I got recently. I'm obviously on a kimono kick and I love that you can dress them up or down and even use them as a cover up! This one caught my eye with the pretty, contrasting floral print and the tassel detailing on the hem.

shorts - on sale! | wedges - on sale! | v-neck tee

APRIL FAVORITES

I wanted to share with you all the favorites from April in a separate post this week, but time go away from me! So, I'll go ahead and quickly share them here...

In the month of April, these cropped, chewed hem jeans were the most clicked on item (and a handful of you bought them!). These are definitely my favorite pair of jeans currently. I just love the wash and the crop style chewed hem.

And if you didn't know, LOFT is currently running a sale for mother's day offering 30% off everything + an extra 10% off your order with code: LOVEMOM

So, basically my entire outfit below is on sale!

kimono - 40% off! | cami - 40% off! | jeans - 40% off! | block heel pumps - less than $30 | monogram necklace

This $15 kimono was the most purchased item from the month of April! And for good reason! The price is just right and you can't beat 2-day free shipping!

Some other favorites from last month were this palm print one piece, this $10 racer back bralette and my favorite long sleeve tee (I have it in 3 colors now!).

Beauty Counter Wishlist + A Giveaway!

Have you guys heard of Beauty Counter? Chances are you have if you follow a lot of other style and beauty bloggers. I had heard of Beauty Counter over a year ago and have been curious about their products for a while. I just recently started doing more research on finding a perfect skin care routine for myself and I kept going back to the Beauty Counter products because of the fact that they are made with NO harmful or toxic chemicals. In fact, they have devoted an entire page on their website that lists all the chemicals that they will never use in their products (view more about the 'Never List' here). I was surprised to find out that the retinol ingredient (which is used in so many anti-aging skin care products including some very popular, expensive brands... *cough* R&F *cough cough*) can possibly cause skin tumors and birth defects if you are pregnant?! I think it is so important to be more informed about the ingredients used in our everyday beauty products, especially those that are in contact with our skin and can seep into our pours.
(Beauty Counter also never tests their products on animals, which I think is absurd that there are any companies out there that do!)

When Amy contacted me to try out some of Beauty Counter's products, I was so excited! I was able to try out some of the skin care products and some of the lip sheers. I loved the way the skin care products made my skin feel and I felt good using the products because I knew there were no harmful chemicals used. It's true that once you start using BC products, you will want to start switching over to all their products!

Since I'm really trying to be good about not spending money on myself this month (November is usually a no self-spend month for me), I decided I would purchase a few of the holiday gift sets for the women in my family for Christmas (sorry family members if you are reading this...spoiler alert!). I've also put together a wish list below for most likely my mom and Bill who will no doubt ask me what I want for Christmas...

Here's what is on my Beauty Counter Wishlist:

Charcoal mask (3) and charcoal bar soap: Charcoal everything is so trendy right now! ha! But, really... do you know why? Charcoal helps to draw out toxins in your skin and absorbs impurities. Charcoal masks are all the rage right now and this one is definitely one to try if you are wanting to try out a mask. The bar soap can be used on your face or body!

Lip Conditioner in Peppermint: I have somewhat of a chapstick addiction and it gets even worse in the winter months. This lip conditioner would be the perfect stocking stuffer for anyone on your list! It soothes and softens lips with peppermint and rosemary oils. This would make a great stocking stuffer!

Perfect Pout Trio - Pinks: Although I loved the lipstick colors I tried ('Little black dress' was my favorite), I'm truly a tinted lipgloss girl by heart. I keep lip glosses everywhere and in every handbag I carry because I'm always reapplying it! This would also make a great stocking stuffer!

Body Butter in Citrus Mimosa: I don't know about you, but my skin is always super dry in the winter. I like to switch to a body butter during the winter months to help lock in moisture after I shower. And the citrus mimosa smell is just a bonus!

Morning Skincare Routine (Nourishing Cream Cleanser + Nourishing Day Cream): I really want to start getting into a routine for my face morning and night. I'm just going to start with the basics and maybe eventually add on more products as needed. For my basic morning routine, I would start with the Nourishing Cream Cleanser, topped with the Nourishing Day Cream before I put on my make up for the day.

Nighttime Skincare Routine: My nighttime routine would be a little more involved with just a few more steps.

1) Cleansing Balm: I was able to try this product out with a sample Amy gave me and I love it! It is so easy to wipe on with a cotton ball, but this product also comes with a reusable 100% muslin cloth which is much softer than your normal cotton ball or washcloth. This balm leaves your skin feeling so smooth while cleaning off all the extra dirt even after washing! This product is a best seller for a reason!

2 & 3) Nourishing Night Cream & Facial Oil: After cleansing my face, I would use the Nourishing Night Cream mixed with 1 - 2 drops of the No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil. This combination leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and extra hydrated. The oil really helps to brighten dull skin, which is common in the winter months.

4) Nourishing Eye Cream: I would end my nightly routine with this eye cream which is so soothing and lightweight!

Holiday Gift Sets I'm loving:

-Hand Soap set: I just love the colorful set they have put together for the holidays! Amy had a great idea of buying a few of these sets and breaking them apart for stocking stuffers.
-Hand Lotion set update - SOLD OUT - hopefully will be restocked soon! (regular hand cream here)
-Glow and Go mini oils - a small sample of each face oil.
-Clean slate charcoal duo: Definitely a great gift set for those wanting to try the charcoal mask and soap!
-Multi-masker set: 3 sample sizes of all 3 masks, plus a facial brush for application.

Check out all of their holiday gift sets HERE*There will be new holiday sets available soon!

I'd love to know what's on your Beauty Counter wish list!

Amy from Beauty Counter has so graciously offered LLStyling readers not one, but THREE chances to win a hand lotion and a $25 gift card to BC! All you have to do is complete the entries below!

You can also shop my 'social' HERE (and click on 'Lindsay's Holiday Hoopla' social) or join my Beauty Counter event on facebook for updates on products and holiday sets!  from now until December 8th! Quantities are limited for the holiday gift sets, so snag your gifts asap!

Recent Purchases, Current Sales and A Giveaway!

Happy Friday Friends! I've been wanting to share with you some of my recent fall wardrobe purchases that I am loving. There's also so many great sales going on and I have some info below on a fun fall inspired giveaway I'm co-hosting on instagram!

I found some new blanket scarfs for the season from asos and I'm loving the oversized check patterns (I bought this one and this one)! They are having a great sale that will be ending tonight, so shop now! I also bought this off the shoulder sweater and this long pink cardigan which I LOVE!

If you follow my instastories, you know I got my hair chopped earlier this week! I am loving the new, sassy length! It's so easy to style and takes so much less time to blow dry!

I also picked up this leopard print scarf from H&M that, unfortunately, I can't find on their website, but this one is almost an exact dupe. I've also been wearing these moto leggings on repeat because they are so cute and soooo comfy!

similar leopard scarf here and here | v neck tee shirt | moto leggings | flats

I found this cute white letter board on amazon!

I'm so glad I picked up a few items form the Old Navy sale a few weeks ago. I have a feeling I'll be wearing this plaid button up and this striped graphic sweatshirt a lot this season! Both are so comfy and perfect for those crisp, chilly autumn days.

There have been and still are so many great fall sales happening! Here's a list of some that are happening this weekend:

Old Navy: up to 60% off kids and baby plus up to 50% off storewide. Free shoipping on orders over $50.

J.Crew Factory: Buy one pair of pants and get the second FREE! Use code FREEPANTS. Plus, 40-60% off everything else, shop here.

Target is having a sale on all baby items. Buy $100 worth of baby essentials and get a $25 gift card.

Anthropologie: The fall event: 20% off full price items in stores and online only this weekend. Discount reflected at checkout.

Pottery Barn: Warehouse event: up to 60% off 100s of items. Shop here. Also, free shipping on your order with code PUMPKIN (ends tonight!)

Nordstrom: up to 50% off items, shop here. As always, free shipping and returns.

Also, I wanted to let you all in on a little secret! I have teamed up with 3 of my favorite bloggers to host an awesome giveaway via instagram! The giveaway will go live at 3:30pm eastern time, so make sure you are following me for details and to enter. I can't give away the prize just yet, but if you win you'll have free PSLs for the next 3 months and will get to go on a fun shopping spree. 😉

Happy Friday and Happy Shopping!

Friday Favorites + Giveaway Winner!

Whoo hoo for Friday!

It has been a long week and I'm so ready for the weekend! I have my first baby shower this weekend hosted by some of my best friends and 2 of my bridesmaids (my family is throwing me one on October). I can't believe it's already here! This month has flown by!

Here's what I'm loving recently:

{my IG}

1 | My 2015 Day Designer came this week and I am so excited to use it! There is a lot more to this planner than meets the eye. I am planning on posting a full review soon!

2 | I also got my white elephant designs monogrammed mug! I just broke down and purchased one after seeing so many on my IG feed. I just love the gold against white!

3 | Confession: I snagged the zara blanket scarf from last year off of ebay for $18. I don't think it's the real zara one, but I love it! It literally is the size of a blanket. I watched this youtube tutorial to learn how to tie/wrap it and I'm just waiting for these temps to drop to try it out!

4 | I have been dreaming about purchasing these Steve Madden riding boots for a while. I bought a pair that is very similar a few years ago, but they have a wedge heel and I'm just not sure I can rock the heels this year with my big 'ol belly. I don't want to splurge since I have a pair very similar, so I was thinking of trying out this pair from Target. AND right now Target is having a buy one, get one 50% off sale... So, there may be a trip to the boot isle for me very soon...

{ left | right }

5 | Ever since Katie mentioned that you can get a chai tea latte WITH Pumpkin at Starbucks, I have been hooked! I gotta say bloggies, I like it better than the #PSL (gasp!!)

6 | We have a winner!!!

Congrats Biana! You won the #40 gift certificate to Lattice & Ivy! I will be emailing you shortly!

Thank you everyone who entered!

I'm linking up with Amanda for Friday Favorites.

2 | I am loving the essie fall 2014 collection! I just got a gel mani with a deep red/wine color, so I haven't tried these out yet. Have you tried any of them?

Her posts always brighten my day and also make me want to paint my nails with all different colors of Essie nail polish! On top of that, her shop is full of wonderful, sparkly, confetti decorated items such as this sparkly hanger that would be a perfect bridesmaid gift, no? I also thought it would be very fitting since I just switched my iPhone case to {this one} and working on something similar for my Etsy shop {here}...

4 Favs // Summer Is Here!

Well, hello bloggettes! Long time no post, huh? I had a fabulous lazy/relaxing/fun 3 day Memorial weekend. So lazy in fact that it was too much for me to even post a recap yesterday! Really though, you would have been bored out of your mind... Just to sum it up, there was a lot of drinking, eating and couch sitting...so exciting!

Now that I'm back in action, I wanted to share with you a few of my favs that I've had my eye on recently. I must say that I did fall off of the wagon with the 3 months of no shopping deal...I found some shorts and a few tops that I just couldn't pass up from Old Navy. Also, grabbed this iPhone case on sale! Time for this baller on a budget to hop back on the "wedding saving mode" horse. However, I will say that these items are all must haves for the Summer!

 photo 488124d1-5e7f-4692-b4b4-082c6383d07b_zps76a604fb.jpg

Of course, one can't have too many flowy, comfy, casual maxi dresses for the Summer! I'm loving this cotton chevron print one from Hive & Honey via Piperline.

I've been seeing these sunnies everywhere! I'm loving the tortoise shell and the shape of these Warby Parker sunglasses.

Oh, hello conversation piece Kate Spade bottle opener ring?! No doubt you will be the most popular gal at all the BBQs this Summer with this puppy on your hand.

Your Summer wardrobe is not complete with out the perfect tote bag. I'm loving the soft tan shade of this C. Wonder tassel leather tote.

What pieces are you loving for Summer?

I'm linking up with Ashlyn and Kristin for 4 favs! Hop on over and check out some more fashion finds! Don't forget to check back this Friday for a giveaway featuring a great deal from one of my favorite Etsy shops!

Lovely Links + A Winner!

Happy Friday lovelies! This week flew by! I have been busy with work, working out, cooking up a storm (as seen here) and practicing for a wedding next week...Practicing what you ask? Oh, guitar and singing :) I bet you didn't know that about me! I have been playing guitar for about 10 years and my good friend (actually, the MOH for my wedding) plays an amazing violin. We've been playing ceremony music for weddings the past 5 years. We started just playing for friends and family members, then word got out and couples started hiring us! It's a fun little hobby!

More on that when I post my "Five Things" next week (I was tagged by the lovely Morgan, check out her adorable blog here).

Let's get to the REAL news...The winner of my March Favs Giveaway and the new owner of these Stella & Dot earrings AND a Starbucks gift card IS.....{drum roll......}

 photo marchgiveaway_zpsf821d47b.png

BRIANA DEE!!!!

If that is your name, email me at lindsay@llstyling.com!

A BIG thank you to Meg Morosco, Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot! Check out more lovelies from S&D here. And don't forget to follow her on FB here for updates on new jewelry and discounts.

And now, I will leave you with some weekend reading via these lovely links:

1 // Looking to add some pop to your reception or event decor? Wedding Chics posted this featuring this awesome on-line vendor who specializes in event decor elements such as vases, parasols and paper poms... I will be browsing the site for my November wedding this weekend...

2 // I'm loving this Art Deco Glam wedding inspirational shoot posted on Ruffled! The colors of emerald (Pantone's color of the year), black and white pop off of the geometric patterns.

3 // You've got to check out this cute little DIY for bachelorette party pins from Mint Love Social Club! They turned out great and added a pretty/fun element to the party!

4 // Alright y'all...This is the one link that is REALLY inspiring me at the moment: I am Content: The Challenge...When I came across Nancy's post last week it gave me goosebumps! I have been a little out of control with the shopping recently and I really need to be focusing on saving for the wedding and paying down my current debt. I am a budget spreadsheet nerd and actually make an excel spreadsheet every month tracking my spending. I am usually pretty good at staying within my set budget, but the past few months have fallen in the red. I really need to refocus my spending habits and work on building my savings.

SO this is it! 3 months of NO SHOPPING!!! Can I do it? Yes. I do not need any new clothes or accessories for 3 months. Looking at my closet, I see plenty of options for outfits for the upcoming special occasions and for someone that works from home and wears sweatpants daily (I feel like I live in them), there's no need for new work clothes.

I am only restricting myself from clothes and accessories shopping. I will still need to buy gifts and little decor items for the wedding, etc. Baby steps... I will keep you updated on my progress!

Have a fantastic weekend! Hopefully, the sun is shining in your neck of the woods!

My March Favs Giveaway!

March is almost over, so that means time for my March Favs Giveaway!!

This month was all about GREEN for St Patty's day and hopefully some of you got to see some green grass and buds on trees...Not so much in Columbus, but the sun is shining today so there's hope!

Meg Morosco, Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot (check out her store here, and facebook page here), approached me to do a giveaway and I'm so glad she did! Meg is giving away these beautiful Serenity Stone Drops in Green earrings to the lucky winner!

Thank you to everyone that entered in the giveaway! This was my first shot at a giveaway on the LLSE blog and it was a HUGE success so I am hoping to do one like this once a month! Stay tuned for the March Favs Giveaway in a few weeks! :)

I will leave you today with a few of my favorite wedding blogs that I have book marked. I usually post some of my favorite posts from the week, but I wanted to give you a little insight on the blogs I read DAILY. I have been so inspired by so many blogs and look forward to reading and seeing what they post everyday. It keeps this little engine going :)

1 // I've said it before and I'll say it again... Hey Gorgeous Events is not only an inspiring blog, but Rhiannon has an amazing way of creating and maintaining a BRAND which is so important in this overly saturated wedding industry! This past week she realized that another over seas, skin care company had ripped off her logo and it is blatantly obvious. This type of creative theft makes me feel so violated. To think she spent so many months, blood, sweat, tears and dollar bills on this very brand and logo to have someone steal it and use it right under her nose... Enough to make you wanna punch someone right?! I'm all about inspiring, but obvious theft of your creative ideas is just wrong...Spread the word!

2 // Ok, now that that rant is over...Another daily read is Wedding Chics. Not only do they post daily wedding inspiration, but they also provide DIY projects, bouquet recipes and have their own little on line shop! If you are looking for wedding favors or bridal/groomsman party gifts definitely check them out!

3 // Ruffled is also a daily wedding inspiration blog. Ruffled is focused more on the vintage style wedding and also posts some great DIY projects.

4 // Last on the wedding list is Revel. Not only does this site post awesome color palette inspiration collages, but it also lists the source and cost for each item! I love exploring this site for different wedding ideas! It is so easy to get lost!

More daily wedding inspo blog list:: Every Last Detail, 100 Layer Cake, Oh Lovely Day and Green Wedding Shoes just to name a few!

Hopefully these lovely blogs will keep you busy this weekend... Any fun plans?

I'm having date night tonight with Billiam and tomorrow I'm headed to a couples' joint 30th birthday party {yes, another one! I swear I don't have that many friends...}

Have a fabulous weekend loves!
