The holiday shopping season is in full effect! I have been busy making my lists and checking them twice. One thing I am trying to do differently this year is making my online shopping more efficient. Walmart.com has everything I need to prepare for our Christmas this year. They always have the best deals on gifts, decor and more! I rounded up some of the best deals on Christmas gifts below. One feature I love from the Walmart website this year is the Gift Finder. Here you can filter down to who you are shopping for and the price range. I love this feature because it helps me narrow down to the perfect gifts to give to everyone on my list! Plus, Walmart offers 2-day free shipping on orders over $35. Or you can get your items same day with the order online and pick up in store option OR take advantage of their curbside pickup option so you don't have to get out of the car. Also, Walmart+ members get FREE same day delivery (non-members can also take advantage of the same day delivery for a small fee). No matter how you shop, Walmart provides the convenience and low prices we are all seeking when it comes to our holiday shopping!

This year, I am trying to be a bit more intentional with the gifts for the boys. There were some toys we gave them last year that only ended up being played with for about a week and then just ended up adding to the clutter in our play room. This year I am really trying to focus on toys and games that will spark their creativity and imagination. I am trying to hone in on their specific interests and give them gifts that they will continue to be interested in for months to come. There's nothing better than giving a book to a child and seeing their eyes light up about the subject, illustrations and story line. I have made it a point to give the boys books that they will be interested in this year. We are in desperate need of updating their library and donating a lot of our 'baby' books and getting them more preschool age appropriate books. Camden has even started reading, so we are getting him some beginner level reading books as well!
Usborne books are our favorite at the moment. You can shop books by age, reading level, interest or top sellers. Some of our favorites are the 'Shine-a-light' books which are books with hidden messages that only appear when you shine a flash light on them! This would be a fun gift to give along with a flash light. Camden also really loves all the 'Big book of..' books of his favorite interests at the moment which are dinosaurs, space, sea creatures, etc. He also loves the '1001 things to spot' books!
Welcome to Volume 3 of my Countdown to Christmas blog posts! Can you believe we only have 5 more Mondays after this one until Christmas?! 😱 This time of year always flies by! So, I have decided to start my Christmas shopping a little earlier than normal this year because I always feel like I'm scrambling in December. The hardest people on my list to buy for each year are the MEN! Anyone else feel this way? Bill is super picky about things and prefers quality over quantity so he hardly ever shops for himself. I usually like to get him something nice every year but I struggle with what to get him. I think I've narrowed iit down to a few things. He travels for work and is in need of some new travel essentials like a toiletry bag, luggage tag (love that this one has a USB charging cable in it!), and new carry on luggage (I'm hoping he's not reading this!!).

Hello and happy Monday! It's Veteran's Day AND my birthday so a lot to celebrate! First, I want to pay respect to all the past Veterans that have fought for our country and have helped keep freedom alive! Thank you all so much for your service!
Over the weekend we celebrated Bill and my anniversary, our Nephew's birthday and my birthday! So it was definitely a fun weekend. Yesterday, I spend some time with my mom shopping and ended the night with ice cream with the family, it was just what I wanted for my birthday. Well, that and to put up our Christmas tree! Yes, I know it seems a little early, but for some reason this year I was just itching to put up our new 7' Prince Flocked tree from King of Christmas! I grabbed some cute ornaments and the metal tree collar from Hobby Lobby. The pillow is from Amazon! I may still add a few more details to it, but for now I'm loving the color scheme and the soft glow of the lights at night and in the early morning.
Last week I also worked on a new gift guide all for the hostess! I know Thanksgiving is coming up and you may have some holiday parties you are attending, so I wanted to get this one done asap! All of these ideas are under $50 and most are under $30!
