Middle Sister Boutique + A Trader Joe's Cheese Board

Happy Monday, friends! I wanted to give you all a quick recap of the 'sip 'n shop' event I had at our house Friday night. My friend, Jen, started her own online boutique a little over a year ago and since then it has taken off! She recently bought a bus and had it renovated inside to be a fully functioning mobile boutique! She brings the bus to all kinds of local events and you can now schedule the bus to come to your house for a private shopping party!

I was so excited to have some of my girlfriends over to shop on the the bus and enjoy some wine and appetizers. Shopping at home with a glass of wine and girlfriends?! Is there any better way to shop?!

I got a few new items from her shop including this 'Game Day' over sized tee (also comes in Red)! Perfect for the upcoming football season!

Get your 'Game Day' tee HERE!

She has so many adorable pieces that are very affordable! Here are a few items she has in stock below...

You can shop her online boutique OR schedule your own private boutique bus party if you're local to the Columbus area here --> www.middlesisterboutique.com

I made a few appetizers for the party, but one of my favorite easy apps to put together is a cheese board. Of course, I got most everything for this cheese board from Trader Joe's

shop some of my favorite cheese boards and knives below:

I love Trader Joe's cheeses and one of my favorites is the Unexpected Cheddar Cheese. This cheese gives a sharp white cheddar flavor that is perfect to pair with white wine and rosé. A few other cheese on this board are the Toscano Cheese with black pepper, and French Brie. I pared the cheeses with some peppered salami, roasted and salted pecans, some Raisin Rosemary Crisps and some of my mother-in-law's homemade peach jam!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

PS - This post was not sponsored in anyway! Just wanted to share!

Fall Inspired Dinner Party

Normally on Mondays, I post a weekend recap. Considering this past weekend wasn't very eventful (besides attending a good friend's baby shower), I thought I would go ahead and post a recap of the dinner party I hosted last week.

I wanted to host a dinner party ever since we purchased our new dining room table earlier this year. I knew I needed to have one before the baby arrives and things got a little hectic. My best friend's birthday was the perfect excuse to host a fall inspired dinner party.

Here are some photos of the table I put together:

I used gourds and mini pumpkins that were given to us by Bill's parents from their garden. I was thinking about painting them, but decided to use their natural colors instead. The flowers were from a fall inspired bouquet from the grocery store believe it or not. I just divided it up into 3 Ball jars. My place mats and napkins are from World Market. Plates and wine glasses are from Crate & Barrel.

On the menu:

Apps
Cheese Platter
Pumpkin Dip

Main Course
Apple Pie Pork Chops (recipe will be posted tomorrow)
Green Bean Casserole
Mashed Potatoes
Croissant Rolls
Salad

Dessert
Pumpkin Cupcakes
Kelly's Famous Cake!

My friend Kelly makes the best cakes (she made our gender reveal cake). I sent her a photo of what I wanted on Melissa's birthday cake...

It's a bridesmaids quote! Melissa was my Matron of Honor and it's one of our favorite movies.

The night was filled with girl chatting and laughter. Our girl dinners are some of my favorite times together! I'm hoping we start to have dinner parties on the regular.

I'm linking up with Biana and Leeann.
