Wish List Wednesday | Cozy Vibes

These snowy days have me wanting alllll the cozy things! When I'm home all I want to wear right now are joggers, or leggings, comfy tops and slippers! All of these are currently on my wish list for January.

This circle cardigan is a bit of a splurge, but this brand is so popular in the blogging world and people swear by how cozy and soft they are.

This hooded robe is something I could totally see myself wearing around the house! And it's on sale for only $35!

I am a loyal fan of all things Zella and this sweater is currently in my shopping cart waiting for me to pull the trigger. With the thumb holes and longer length of this top (to wear with these leggings) I have a feeling I'd be living in it!

These pink joggers are just too cute to pass up! And everyone needs a pair of black, comfy lounge pants and this pair looks super soft and cozy!

Of course you can't forget the perfect beanie and cozy socks to keep your head and feet warm!

Life Lately + Current Wish List

tops (left to right): one | two | three

Hi friends! Sorry for being a bit MIA lately! We've been in Columbus for the past week staying with my parents. Bill and I attended a rehearsal dinner and wedding this past weekend, so that kept us busy. Bill also had a few meetings here in town so we decided to just stay a bit longer.

(dress via rent the runway)

We are headed back to IL today and I'm so ready to be back in our house with our little routine, but will miss the grandparents' help (and love and support and free food) so much! I have a feeling we will be back again by the end of this month... more on that soon! ;)

Plus, Grandmas have the best toys!

Now, on to my current wish list! I actually have all of these saved in my Nordstrom 'wish list'. I love that you can save items for later and not have to add them all in your shopping cart.

All of these items are pretty functional for my everyday life. Obviously, I am a big fan of 'athleisure' right now so I have a few pairs of legging and just really easy tops to wear with them. I'm slowly warming up to the patterned leggings trend and I love this cropped pair for spring (I also love that they're high waisted!). And how perfect would this sweatshirt look with them? I'm also loving the trend of the mesh cutout leggings, so this pair is also on my list for spring.

I've decided I'm ready to splurge on a good pair of stretchy skinny jeans. I've really been studying which pair to purchase and I think I've landed on these. They have great reviews and I just love the dark wash. I think a comfortable, good pair of dark wash skinny jeans should be a staple item in every woman's wardrobe!

As far as shoes and accessories go, I'm on the market for a new pair of stud earrings. I pretty much just wear small stud earrings these days, especially around the boys. I think this pair would be perfect for everyday. I'm also lusting after this tory burch crossbody bag. I've had this one for a few years now and it's held up so well! I have so many other styles of bags (satchels, totes, clutches, etc) and I always end up using this one everyday. I'd like to get one similar in a more spring/neutral shade so I think the TB one would be perfect.

After going through my closet, I've realized that my shoe game is really lacking. I think it's time to invest in a good pair of espadrille wedges for spring and I've seen this pair posted all over the fashion blogger world. I love the neutral shade too!

What's on your wish list for spring?

Wednesday Wishlist

Thank you all for your comments on yesterday's post. I think I just needed a relaxing day with my baby at home to feel refreshed and inspired (which is exactly what I did yesterday). I think the best inspiration comes from really slowing down and enjoying and appreciating the little things in life. I even had time to whip up a new recipe and take some photos for a post coming next week!

For today, I thought I'd share a little round up of what is on my wishlist currently...

The Tory Burch Private Sale started on Monday... click here to enter the sale. There are some really good deals on cute sandals, flats, jewelry and handbags!

Christmas Wishlist

Is it sad that mostly what I would like for Christmas is a full night's rest?
Or even just a date night for Bill and me?

Other than that, here's a few items I would love to find in my stocking or under the tree...

Since my #ootd's recently have pretty much consisted of PJs, I thought I would help build my wardrobe so to speak with a few items.

I've been wearing a lot of sleeping gowns because I am still a little sore around my c section incision. This thermal nightshirt would be a perfect addition to my PJ collection. I'm also loving these striped lounge pants which look uber comfy. To go along with the comfy/PJ theme, I'd love this state graphic hoodie. Any excuse to show my home state some love!

I've wanted a diptyque candle for a while now, but have not splurged on one yet. Would love to find this one in my stocking. The Urban Decay 'Naked3' pallete has been on my wishlist for a while too and would also be a perfect stocking stuffer. I am in desperate need for a new scent (I've been wearing Burberry Brit since college). I've heard great reviews about Victor & Rolf's flowerbomb scent. Does anyone have this and like it?

What's on your wishlist this year?
Can't believe Christmas Eve is a week away!

Wednesday Wishlist | Gifts for Me!

Totally meant to post the recipe for the Apple Pie Pork Chops yesterday and time just escaped me! I will post it next week for sure! I am hosting a dinner party tomorrow night for my friend's birthday and planning to make them again. They are so good!

Today, I wanted to share with you what's on my wishlist.
Next month will be busy with our 1st wedding anniversary on the 9th and my birthday on the 11th. Bill has promised that we are going to celebrate them separately, so I will take his word for now...

We have plans to have dinner at M for our anniversary. It is the restuarant that is in the same building where we had our reception (and the same caterer).

We have talked about exchanging gifts, so I need to find out if there is a price limit. I think there definitely will be since baby is just around the corner! Oh, and that means push present time, right? :)

Here are some ideas in case anyone in particular is reading :)

1 | I am in desparate need of a new handbag. I have been carrying the little kate spade crossbody around everywhere and although I love how compact it is, I'm going to need something a little more substantial. I have had my eye on this Marc Jacobs navy leather hobo for a while now... Would love to call it mine!

2 | Of course, something more personal for our anniversary (or my birthday... or push present) would be nice too. I am loving the gold bar necklace trend and would love one with "Camden" stamped on it. Esty seems to be the place to find these and this shop has a lot of options!

3 | I have been wanting a new gold watch for a while. I'm starting to lean towards the leather bands. I am loving this kate spade gold leather band watch

4 | Confession: I can't fit into any of my boots from last year... My feet have grown (swollen) to a new size! I had to run out and get this pair from Old Navy to tide me over! It was raining the other day and I realized the only pair of weather resistant boots I have are snow boots that are years old. I have been wanting a pair of Hunter boots for while and these red ones would be perfect for rainy days, snowy days and tailgating!

5 | Of course, I will need the Hunter socks to wear with my new boots :)

6 | Knowing that the next few months will be a lot of lounging and feeding baby, I am going to need a good pair of PJs. A comfy set like this would be perfect for feeding time and even to wear in the hospital when we are there.

7 | What's a mama bear without her big fluffy robe? Girls, I know you want one! It would be perfect to lounge around in this fluffy robe in the winter months cuddling with our little bundle of joy!

There you have it. My current wishlist.

Hoping I get at least one of these items in the next month or so :)

Wednesday Wishlist | 2015 Planners

OK, friends... I need help deciding on a 2015 planner.

I have been using this kate spade planner for 2014 and I like it, but I am thinking about switching it up for next year.

Here are the options:

1 | This tried and true kate spade planner. I love the black and white stripes pattern for something new next year. The only thing I didn't love about using my kate spade planner this year was the fact that the days are not broken out by hour like some other options. I really love having a lot of space for each day to plan out meetings and appointments by the hour.

2 | I love this gold myAgenda planner from Paper Source. This one has nice long spaces on each day and it's a 17 month calendar starting Aug '14 and going through to Dec '15.

3 | I've heard some good things about the Lilly Pulitzer planners. It's definitely the most colorful option with fun graphics through out. It is about the same size as the kate spade planner and has about the same room for each day. This one is also a 17 month agenda starting at Aug '14.

4 | I have heard a lot of great things about the Emily Ley Simplified Planners as well. This one comes with a lot of bells and whistles including each day broken out into hours, a notes section, to do list and dinner section for each day. It also comes with a cute little "Thank you notes to send" pad. This one is definitely on the top of my list.

5 | When have I said no to gold polka dots? I am really loving the design of this 2015 planner from Paper Source. It is also a 17 month planner with a lot of writing room for each day. Just doesn't have some of the other bells and whistles like some of the others.

6 | Last but not least, the ever so blogger popular Day Designer by Whitney English. These things sell out like hot cakes! The next available orders for the Day Designers are on the 15th of this month and I'm sure I will need to act fast if this is the one I want! It seems to be pretty similar to the Emily Ley Simplified Planner. It has each day broken out by hour and a do to list / check list for each day.

There are the choices!
Please comment below and let me know your favortie.
If you've used any of these in the past, please let me know how you liked it!

Wednesday Wishlist {Fall Fashion Edition}

That's right friends... It's that time of year again...

Time for Pumpkin flavored everything!

I have been craving everything pumpkin spice, so the PSL came back just in time for this preggo.
I hope to pick up some fall scented candles from B&BW this week too.

Bill and I are on a spending freeze for a little while after our large purchase of a very expensive mattress (like 2 x a mortgage payment :/). However, I am hoping to get a few of these Fall Fashion staples in my closet at some point this season.

For fall, I always like to have a few staples to mix and match. Plaid is in in a very big way for fall. Can't get much easier or more comfortable than a plaid top and jeans.
Of course, I always like to have a few flowy blouses available. With these you can dress them up with a pencil skirt or throw on some jeans and heels for an evening/date look.
Cardigans are my favorite type of sweater in the fall; easy to take on and off depending on the temperature during the day and evening. I'm loving this boyfriend cardigan and the wrap style cardigan

I practically live in jeans and leggings in the fall. These are both definitely a must have! I always like the dark wash skinnies for cooler weather and to fit inside boots. It's important to find some leggings that are thick enough to wear with blouses and over sized sweaters.

I'm all about the riding boots for fall. I typically make sure I have a tan/brown pair and a black pair. I also wear flats a lot in the beginning of fall before the temp drops too low. I am LOVING these quilted Tory Burch flats... They need to be mine!

I am loving the colored bags for fall. Red, blue and gray are currently my favorite and they all seem to go with anything. I like to have one nice, smaller shoulder bag for evenings, a medium sized hobo for everyday and a tote size for day trips and traveling.

Accessories are what help tie the look together. When I think of fall fashion, my mind always goes to scarfs. I like to have a few patterned scarfs to help my outfits "pop" against the solid colors. I love leopard print anything for fall as well.
I have been lusting over this kate spade gold watch for a while and it is currently on my birthday/anniversary/push present wishlist. I'm hoping this wish comes true this fall!
Kendra Scott can do no wrong when it comes to accessories. I'm loving the deeper shades for fall, like these gray drop earrings and this burgundy pendant necklace

Well, there you have it! My wishlist for fall.

I doubt all of these will find there way into my closet anytime soon, but I can dream can't I? :)
