Happy Halloween!!

I've gotta say, I'm not a big Halloween person. I do, however, enjoy a good costume party! My friends and I are having a little brunch get together tomorrow morning to celebrate one of the girl's birthdays and we are required to wear a costume. I chose cat ears and will dress in all black. Fat black cat it is this year! So creative, I know!

Here's what I'm loving from this week:

1 | Halloween Candy... We just made it through last night's trick-or-treaters with out running out of candy. I blame the baby for making me eat so much!

2 | Grey Plaid Blanket Scarf. Yes, I need another one in my life. I love the colors of this one from ASOS.

3 | Broccoli Cheddar Chicken & Rice Casserole. I made this recipe for dinner last night and it was so good! Total comfort food!

4 | Rose Gold French Mani nails. How awesome are these nails? Colors are Essie Mirror Metallics Penny Talk and Essie Adore-a-Ball

5 | New Blogs to Follow! I just love when I stumble accross new blogs to follow. I've been working on cleaning up my Bloglovin' feed (btw - follow me here) and trying to categorize all my blogs and it has been very helpful with streamlining my blog reading in the mornings!

Here are a few blogs that I have started following this week:

A Blonde Ambition - How have I not been following? Leslie has impecable style and does it all while in her 3rd trimester with her second girl on the way! I just love her sense of humor too!

Two Twenty One - Again, have I been living under a rock? I love this blog! Chelsea posts so many great DIYs and home projects. Not to mention she is the mother of an adorable new little boy!

Hosting & Toasting - I actually came accross Brittney's blog via IG when I spotted her post of a beautiful fall inspired brunch party. BAC (as she refers to herself) is a girl after my own heart, with a love for styled events, entertaining and fashion.

Happy Weekend, Lovlies!

I'm linking up with Amanda for Friday Favorites and April, Christina, Natasha and Darci for 5 on Friday.

Bumpdate | 34 weeks!

Does it look like I'm forcing a smile?
Not gonna lie... I might be!
Do you see the size of this bump? No wonder I have hip and back aches!

Can you believe we are at 34 weeks and 4 days?!
That means less than 6 weeks to D day, people!
Our little boy could be here in a month!

Let's get to it...

Facts
  • Baby is the size of a butternut squash! He is measuring between 17.2 and 18.7 inches long and weighs between 4.2 and 5.8 lbs.
  • He is recognizing and reacting to simple songs (I may or may not have been playing Christmas music for him already :) :) )
  • He's also urinating about a pint a day (In the words of Jimmy Fallon... ewww!)

Not so fun things
  • I'm slowly getting used to the no sleep thing. I'm still waking up about every 2-3 hours at night to switch sides. My hips start to ache if I'm on one side for too long. And of course, why not use the bathroom while I'm up?
  • I'm starting to get to the point where it is hard to be on my feet or be mobile for too long. I went to the grocery store earlier this week and by the end of the shopping trip, my lower back was killing me. We have been taking Charlie on walks and I notice towards the end my back is really sore.
  • Some acid reflux here and there, but it's bearable.
  • I'm starting to swell!! My feet and hands look a little more puffy than usual! Still can't wear my wedding rings :(
  • Boobs are just out of control... That's all I'm going to say about that. I really hope they go back to normal after baby or I am going to have to convince Bill to get me a boob lift/reduction after we are done having kids. I'm not joking! Plus, I think they are the reason I am feeling some aches/tingling in my upper back in between my shoulder blades. These things are heavy!
  • Definitely feeling some major pressure down there. My pelvis bone has been aching and when I go to stand up or do something strenuous it stings! Hopefully, that means baby is making his way down and getting ready for his arrival (not too soon though... Let's make it at least to 37 weeks)!

Random things
  • Still craving ice like it's going out of style. I'd say I have 3 big cups of it a day! Good news is, that is probably helping me stay hydrated.
  • Other random cravings: cheese puffs?! MILK! Lots of milk. I drink organic fat free milk and go through about 2 cartons a week! I have a bowl of cereal every morning and I will have 1 - 2 cups of milk in the evening during dinner. I was never a milk drinker before pregnancy. Also, I can't get enough Halloween candy, but then again... who can?!
  • Baby is moving a TON! Sometimes it is a little uncomfortable, not gonna lie. I can tell things are getting a little cramped for him and he is trying to stretch out. I still do love the feeling, though, and is worth a few jabs/kicks in the ribs.
  • I'm really looking forward to getting back into a workout routine after baby. I miss going to the gym and really sweating! I know some pregnant ladies are able to keep working out through out the majority of their pregnancy, but it just hasn't been that way for me. Thinking about jogging with this bowling ball in my belly makes me queasy! I do have a goal to complete a half marathon next October, so hopefully that will give me the motivation to get back into it in early 2015. Don't worry, I'm sure I will be posting all about my progress as well!

Really awesome things
  • The nursery being complete! So happy to have it all ready for baby Camden's arrival. I also enjoy organizing and re-organizing (aka nesting) everything in there.
  • Thinking about enjoying this Christmas with a snuggly little baby! And dressing him in cute little Christmas outfits (he may have a few to choose from already...)
  • We have one more shower this weekend with Bill's family. We are so blessed to have such wonderful and loving friends and family to help spoil this little boy rotten!
  • Starting the process of packing the hospital bag (what?!). It really makes it so real! This is what I'm going to have with me when we have our baby!
  • Having an amazingly supportive husband. I have not given him enough props here on the blog. He has been so sweet and always looking out for me and baby Rumple. If I am too tired to do the dishes or cook dinner, he steps right in and takes care of it. And he calls me on his way home to let me know he is stopping by Dairy Queen if I want a blizzard... the answer is YES!
  • Tonight is my last Pregnancy Yoga class and I'm sad that it's coming to an end. I have really enjoyed sharing the experience with a few of my pregnant friends. The classes are so relaxing and it always feel so great to really stretch out my bones and muscles. It is also a great bonding experience with other pregnant ladies! I am hoping to keep up my own routine at home over the next month now that I know some good stretches.
Whoo hoo! 6 more weeks (or less)!!

Camden's Nursery Reveal!

I know you all have been waiting anxiously on the edge of your seats for the reveal of Camden's nursery. Well, I finally got to a point where I felt as though it was 'complete' and picture worthy. There was one more item I was waiting for (the hamper), but decided that we could do without just for pictures' sake.

This room has been a labor of love (emphasis on the labor... get it?). We started about 2 months ago with painting the room. It started out a grey-ish color that I thought might work, but later decided I wanted to lighten it up. I chose 2 paint colors, both Sherwin Williams. One wall where the crib would go, is Snowbound (SW 7004) the other 3 are Hinting Blue (SW 6519).

Once the paint was done, the fun began... I ordered these star decals from Urban Walls. My inspiration was this photo that I had pinned a while ago. I just loved how serene it felt. Instead of putting the stars on the ceiling, I decided to put them all over the white wall as a back drop for the crib. Let me tell you, putting up those stars was no easy task. A lot of mathematical skills and patience were involved!

This is by far my favorite corner of the room. I have already enjoyed many hours in that glider just envisioning rocking baby Camden to sleep or reading him a story.

You may have noticed that there is no crib bumper. I have heard from several sources that crib bumpers are actually dangerous for infants. They can roll over onto the bumper and not be able to breathe. I do have a mesh/breathable crib bumper that I am planning to put on once baby starts using the crib.

I love these grey striped linen baskets for extra toy and book storage. I have another basket for swaddle blankets and burp cloths by the glider for easy access. The burp cloths were hand made by my friend's mom. Aren't they adorable? I just love the fabrics she chose.

The room is not very big, so I knew I had to be very creative about the space. The room is just big enough for the crib, dresser and glider (we have an older home that has been renovated, so that means small rooms and closets, but I do love our original hardwood floors!). We saved some space by doubling the dresser for the changing table. The top 2 drawers are filled with diapers, wipes and onsies for easy changing access.

The closet is also not very large (it also is home to my wedding dress...), so I added this hanging closet organizer to use for extra clothes, toys, stuffed animals, blankets, etc. I found the closet dividers from this shop on etsy.

The tassel garland on the window is from the balloon from our maternity shoot! You can get the balloons or just tassel garland from this etsy shop.

The multicolored knit blanket on the glider was handmade by my grandmother. She started 7 years ago! It is definitely something we will treasure!

All ready for baby's arrival!
Now, all that's left to do is wait...

I'm back with my 34 week bumpdate tomorrow!
