Transitional Shoes for Spring

This time of year it's hard to know what type of shoes we need for what ever weather it's going to be for the day! Some days its raining, some days its snowing, and some days its sunny and actually above freezing?! I've had some questions about transitional shoe options from winter to spring, so I thought I would do a little round up of what I have and what I recommend for this time of year...

Best part is... they are all less than $100 and most are under $50!!

First, let me go ahead and share the shoes I own and love that I am planning on wearing to transition into spring...

1. I recently ordered this pair of pointed toe mules after seeing them on a few blogger friends of mine and I am smitten with them! I love this pointed toe trend because it helps to elongate my short and stumpy legs! And I just love the subtle studded detailing on the sides!

2. Another new pair I recently ordered are these slip on sneakers. Oh my heavens are they comfy! Like walking on my memory foam mattress! And I love the slight texture and neutral color of them. I know I will get a TON of use out of these because they are perfect for that hashtag mom life!

3. I also recently got this pair of New Balance sneakers and this is another pair that I've already got a ton of use out of! They are a great athletic shoe to wear around running errands or if you want to look like you are planning to work out while wearing your athleisure 😄 They also come in a grey or black, but I just love this mauvy-pink color for spring!

4. I bought this pair of wedge sneakers on the fall and unfortunately they have been sold out in the grey color for a while now! BUT, I did find a very similar pair from Target that are under $35! I didn't want to splurge on these because I wasn't sure how much I would wear them. However, I actually have been wearing them a lot and I love how they add something extra to an other wise normal outfit. And having that extra 'lift' really makes a difference on my 5'2" frame!

A few other faves:

These pink bow mules got a TON of wear last spring and summer and I'm definitely bringing them back for the spring season! One of my favorite Amazon finds for less than $15 (price depends on size)!!

These pointed toe loafers also got a ton of wear last spring and fall. I love the neutral tone and they just go with everything! This loafer is low in stock, but I found a similar pair that is a little more pricey, but I would be willing to spend the money because you will get a ton of wear out of these!

If you need a good pair of heels to make you feel sassy for date night, I have been loving this pair of leopard heels that are less than $30!

Budget Friendly Fall Shoes

Fall is officially in full swing and I am so excited for this year's line up of shoes! I've purchased a handful of new pairs this year to change it up a bit and because I wanted to have a good selection of stylish AND comfortable shoes for any and all outfits.

BONUS - All of my shoes are under $60! Most are under $40!

Here's a breakdown of my fall shoe line up:

Pointed Toe Flats ($23) - These are the perfect shoes for work or play! You can dress them up or down! They come in a handful of colors as well. These fit true to size and also come in wide options.

Bow Mules ($17) - I ordered these shoes from Amazon as soon as I found them! They are so comfortable and such a cute addition to any outfit! (Similar pair on sale under $30 HERE)

Wedge Sneakers ($30)  - I'm so glad I ventured out of my comfort zone with these! I wasn't sure if they were 'my style' but, having them on and seeing them in person, I am converted! I love the wedge sneaker trend and they are just s fun/trendy alternative to your normal sneakers. (Similar pair under $60 HERE | get $10 off at checkout with code: DSWFALL)

Peep Toe Block Heel Booties ($35) - I purchased these last year after I was sad I missed out on the Vince Camuto ones from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. As soon as I saw these at Target for less than half the price, I snagged a pair! I've gotten so much use out of these and they are a great transitional shoe from summer to fall!

Ankle Booties (prices vary depending on size) - Another Amazon shoe find, these were actually less than $35 when I bought them, but are now up to $60. That's one thing about buying shoes from Amazon, their prices can vary depending on demand and availability. BUT, I'm so glad I got these because they are the perfect ankle bootie and the fit is perfect!

Knee High Boots ($50) - These are my newest addition to my fall shoe line up and I'm totally smitten! They look like a designer pair and I just live the detailing at the top. Perfect to wear over leggings or skinny jeans!

Over the Knee Boots ($60) - I ordered these about a month ago and I've been waiting for the temps to drop to start styling them! I've wanted a pair of over the knee boots for a while now, but wasn't ready to drop over $100 for a pair. I'm actually quite impressed with the quality of these for the price! And the retailer is currently running a BOGO 50% off PLUS 15% off your order!

Splurge Worthy Boots

Sam Edelman 'Penny' Riding Boots - I got these boots for my birthday almost 3 years ago and they have held up SO well! The leather is so soft and I just love the classic look of these boots. These are perfect with leggings or skinny jeans and are 100% worth the price!

Hunter Boots - I got my Hunter boots about 4 years ago and have gotten a TON of use out of them the past 4 falls/winters here in Ohio (and Illinois!)!! Rain, snow, sleet, slush... these babies handle it ALL! And they look cute with long socks over leggings or skinny jeans!
