Weekend Recap

Why is it that the weekends with no plans always turn out to be the busiest?
Let's just say Camden and I ate REALLY well this weekend...

Friday morning I had my glucose test. It was not as bad I as thought it would be. I had the orange flavored drink and poured it over ice which made it a lot easier to chug. I just really hate giving blood. I always get queasy, but this time wasn't so bad. I also got my flu shot in the same appointment so I am getting used to all these needles! I get the results back sometime today, hopefully good news!

After my appointment, Bill and I grabbed breakfast at First Watch. It's one of our favortie breakfast places.

Friday night we had a little date night and went to dinner and a movie. We saw "A Walk Among the Tombstones" with Liam Neeson. It as pretty dark and left us both feeling a little 'blah', but it was a good story line.

Saturday morning was spent getting some odds and ends for the nursery and getting mums for the front porch. I am getting into this Fall decorating! Giving me something to do before all the Christmas decor starts... yep, I said it!

I met my friend Saturday afternoon for lunch at Panera. Do you know they now have their Autumn Squash Soup AND they have Butternut Squash Ravioli?! I love butternut sqash everything, so I had to try both... oops! They are both so good!

Saturday afternoon was spent grocery shopping and cleaning the house. We met my parents for dinner at Bonefish Grill. I had their new menu item, Lobster Grilled Cheese. You guys, this was heaven! I was still kinda full from lunch, so I only ate half, but it was so good! It was good to catch up with my parents too. I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more of them once baby is here!

Sunday morning, I spent a few hours in Camden's nursery just organizing a few things and started to wash some of his clothes. Baby laundry has got to be my favorite kind of laundry ever! I am also excited to try out these free Honest Company samples I got. You can get some too from their website here. You just have to pay shipping. I just love the little patterns on the diapers!

Sunday afternoon, I blacked out in Target and got new curtains and throw pillows for our family room. I've been wanting to spruce up this room for a while and thought I'd give these cutains a try.

I had them up for a while, but realized the background beige color clashes a bit with the wall color, so I think they are going to be returned :/ I do love the pillows I got though! I will try to take some pics when the room is looking more put together. Side note: Also loving this Diet Black Cherry soda I found at the grocery store! I just love anything in glass bottles, really...

Sunday evening we met my extended family at Cracker Barrel for my cousin's sweet 16 birthday.

Like I said, Camden and I ate REALLY well this weekend!!

Happy Friday!!

First, I want to thank you all for your sweet comments about the maternity pics and the announcement of Camden's name! We are so excited and calling him by name now makes it all so real!

I was busy traveling for work Tues - Thurs, so I am so ready for the weekend!

Today, I'm linking up with Amanda for Friday Favorites. I have just a few faves from this week:

1 | I ordered my 2015 planner! I went with the Day Designer by Whitney English. It was a little more $ than I was looking to spend, but I love the way this planner is laid out. So much room to write daily tasks and appointments for each day. Also, just love the look of it!

2 | I am loving the essie fall 2014 collection! I just got a gel mani with a deep red/wine color, so I haven't tried these out yet. Have you tried any of them?

3 | Have you heard of Lattice & Ivy? Leena, a consultant for the online shop, contacted me to do a giveaway and I'm so happy she did. I love all the fun patterns and ways you can customize each item. Here are some of my favortie L&I products:

The acrylic personalized wine goblet and the wine tote make great gifts!

I am also loving these options for tailgating:

You can even personalize them to match your favorite team colors!
May I suggest Dove/Scarlet? :)

You can win $40 to the Lattice & Ivy shop simply by completing the entries below!
I will be announcing the winner next Friday {9/26/14}.

*US contestants only*

Good Luck!

Maternity Photos + Baby Name Announcement!

I decided that I wanted to take a few maternity photos to document this happy time in my pregnancy. I had a vision for what I wanted and purchased the ivory lace dress from Pink Blush Maternity and also ordered the blue tassel balloon from StudioMucci to symbolize our little boy!

I had my friend take the photos on my Nikon D5200. She has the same camera and knew how to use it. I did all the editing of the photos. We took the photos around sunset, but I think if we would have waited a little longer, the lighting would have been better. However, I'm pretty impressed by our armature skills!

Here are a few of my faves:

And now.... Drum Roll Please...

The name of #rumplebaby2014 is...

CAMDEN WILLIAM RUMPLE!

We are so excited to announce the name, finally!

It was a name that I came across on my family tree given to me by my Grandmother. Her grandpa's name was Camden and ever since we both heard it, back before we even knew we were having a boy, we both loved it. There were a lot of other options thrown out there, but none of them really stuck like Camden did. Plus, we both loved the nickname Cam. The middle name, William, is after Bill.

Since we landed on the name, we decided to keep it to ourselves for a while just to make sure it felt right. Of course, along the way I had heard of a few more Camdens being named like one of my favorite blogger friends, Katie, and also my friend's nephew. This kinda took the wind out of our sails for a few days. We threw around a few other names, but they just didn't feel right. So, we decided not to let that change our minds.

Naming your first child has got to be one of the hardest decisions in life! My best advice is to make it a decission between you and your partner. Don't let outside influences make up your mind. If it feels right, then it is!

We can't wait to meet you Camden!!
xoxo

I'm linking up with Home of Malones and East Coast Chic for Thoughts for Thursday.
