Wedding Wednesday | Off the Registry Gifts

It's been a while since I've done a Wedding Wednesday post!
Even though our wedding is over, I still love weddings. I especially like them when I get to attend as a guest! As a guest, one must never show up empty handed. Instead of the traditional card and money, opt for something a little more personal.

I have to say, I typically stick to the registry when it comes to giving wedding gifts. I don't like taking the risk of the bride and groom not loving or needing what they get. However, there are a lot of great options out there to give a more personal gift if you are so brave. I like the idea of combining the two as well; giving one gift off the registry with a personalized gift.

Here are my recommendations:

These monogrammed dinner napkins are a perfect touch and will go with any decor the bride and groom choose.

I gave my close friend these "Ido" and "Me too" plates as well as the "Mr" and Mrs" forks. She ended up using them as their dinner plates at their wedding!

If the couple likes a good cocktail, why not spoil them with their own monogrammed copper mugs for Moscow mules!

Everyone loves a good cheese board. I think I registered for 3 different ones! This monogrammed cheese or bread board would be perfect for any occasion.

At least one person in every house hold loves wine. And if they don't we can't be friends. I'm loving this gold monogram wine stopper and the personalized wine rack!

I am loving this personalized pillow and am contemplating ordering one for our family room!

Last but not least, I absolutely love this canvas that showcases the words from the couple's first dance in the shape of a heart. How precious!

Have you ever given a gift off the registry?
Did the bride and groom appreciate it?

Weekend Recap

It was a busy one!

Friday I had some quality girl time/talk with a close friend at our favorite spots, Greek Steet Tavern. We love ordering their tater tots! :) We ended the night with cupcakes and I bought a bottle of sparkling grape juice and we sat on her patio just chatting. I love these summer nights!

Saturday, Bill and I went to Sunny Street Cafe for brunch and to support my friend, Meggan, as she was collecting donations for her Pelitonia ride this coming weekend! Why not support a good cause while loading up on brunch and pancakes!

After brunch, we headed to Easton for a while to get a bridal shower gift and look around for new items for our home. I ended up finding some place mats at Crate & Barrel for our dining room table and dropped a lot of $$ at the Container Store! That place always gets me!

Saturday night, Bill and I had plans to have dinner with another couple at Mezzo in Dublin. It was so nice out, we got to sit on the patio! I had the Chicken Milanese which was so good!

Sunday, we went to Rockford (Bill's hometown) for my soon-to-be sister in law's bridal shower.
I just love bridal showers!

This morning we dropped off Charlie to be neutered :( :(

I am going to be an anxious mama all day... Please say a little prayer for him!

Friday Favorites

Dear Blog,

I am so sorry I have neglected you this week.
It was one of those weeks that just sucks up all my energy and I wasn't really able to focus on anything but work!

SOOO happy it is FRIDAY!

Here's what I'm loving this week:

Our wedding album came yesterday and I have to say I am really impressed with the way it turned out. Shutterfly's service and quality really has impressed me. My next project will be making one from our honeymoon!

Also, very impressed with how fast my Sephora order came. I have already tried out the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation  and I love it! I will be trying out the Origins Age Defense Treatment Lotion (more of a toner) today and will report back on the blog next week.

I also received my order of non-alcoholic wines from Ariel Vineyards. I tried the red blend and the Chardonnay. They both tasted slightly watered down, but it's the closest to the real thing I can get!

I'm also loving the fact that I can feel little baby boy Rumple squirming around a lot!
We had our 20 week appointment last Friday and saw baby boy moving around and found out he is a little over 12 ounces and about 10 inches long! Grow baby grow!

Lastly, it's August 1st... You know what that means??
Fall is just around the corner! Pumpkin Spice lattes, Pumpkin Spice Candles...
well, really Pumpkin Spice everything! Boots, leggings and over-sized sweaters, football season... so many things I love about Fall.

What are you loving this week?
